That is a bad bad bad loss for the Phillies right there. They're probably about to be swept, too as I can't see them winning a Max Scherzer game.
 
Phillies had two more errors tonight, one lead to an unearned run. They lost by a run too. That bad defense is starting to cost them games now.

I doubt Acuna has it wrapped up. But him and Soto are the front runners for sure. A month ago it was Soto's by a mile so anything can happen with 5.5 weeks left.

The ump ruled it a double at first then they reviewed it, and it was a HR.
 
Soto's two out two strike double in the 9th ended up huge for us tonight as it set up Zimmerman's walk off homer. So at least this time he helped us.
 
I am telling you, Kapler has no where to turn in that pen right now.. Starters are not going deep, so that is just compounding everything... Unfortunately for them, it is a really bad stretch of baseball at the worst possible time..
 
phillies had a shot to add runs in the top of 9th with bases loaded and one out but Cabrera popped out and they brought on the lefty Grace who struck lefty Bour

pen seems tired too from starters coming out earlier more often, they did trade for lefty Avilan today to help some.
