true, plus heart of the order and both Markakis and Camargo match up well against Pivetta. Camargo chased outside his last ab vs him but hits his fastball hard and odds favor Camargo to do better that inning if given another shot IMO.

BP pitchers on short stints are better than almost all SPs in their 3rd TTO.

With the expanded rosters, the Phils can do whatever they want.

That said, saving your pen and letting a pitcher who is cruising keep going is huge over a 162 game season. I wish our starters had saved our pen more.

Counterpoint: they basically need to win out to make the playoff and they have no days off the rest of the way. Their odds to win this game probably went up by taking Pivetta out early. However, I would have tried to save my reliever currency for a day when one of my best starters isn’t pitching well.

At this point they can't worry about future games. They have to win tonight.
 
Acuna 100% isn't a left fielder. It's dumb as hell but he just looks completely uncomfortable there. In other spots he's not great but less bad.
