10/5 GDT | Anibal "Dirty" Sanchez VS Clayton Kersh*t | Braves @ Dodgers 7:37 on FS1

Fitting end to another lack luster offensive effort. Freddie Ks swinging!!

9 hits in 2 games vs Dodgers, pitiful.

Not watching the game is good for my health. Stress level is down, BP is down, heart rate down, every thing down just like Braves offense.

Braves were lucky they were not no-hit tonight. Kershaw was flat out nasty after Acuna’s double

Sad part is...He got 2 of his 3Ks in the 8th...He literally pitched to contact the entire night. He’s worth every damn penny of $30m a year contract. I hope he ops out after this season because Dodgers don’t deserve him.

That final AB by Freeman just summed our offensive series thus far. Swinging through junk right down the middle.

Braves haven’t had a losing streak over 4 games the entire season. It would be ironic if the first and only time we did got us eliminated.

I wouldn't exactly say it was just Kershaw completely dominating.

We got some pitches, and flat out missed them. He's the rare guy unless you're a black magic team where you HAVE to try to attack him early instead of working very long at bats. The problems come in if you get your pitches and miss them. Some of the hitters were getting, and missing pitches. That's an execution issue.

ETA: Kershaw pitched well, but it was not no hit stuff well. It was both good pitching and bad execution on pitches where more damage should've been done.

No, they didn't, a loss is a loss. Need to get a big bat in this lineup. Freeman is good but needs help.

Have to agree here. Just have to figure out who the big bat will be. At this point, I’d let Markakis walk. I appreciate what he’s done, but probably in the Braves best best interest to let him go. Especially considering the qualifying offer figure. I’m certain the Braves won’t be in on Harper, so have to figure out the better options that are a fit.

We are not this bad, but either way...the Dodgers are a better team.

We should have made a better showing, but I never really thought we could beat the Dodgers now that they are back to full strength.

We will be quickly forgotten just like the A's were. In the end the Cubs will be the biggest chokers of this playoffs unless something crazy happens.

The NLDS debuted in 1995.

In the 23 NLDSes completed since then, no other team has been shut out in the first 2 games.

The only other team to be shut out in 2 games was the Reds in 2010...they scored 4 runs in Game 2.

The Braves are quite possibly going to set the all time record for NLDS futility.

As much as I hate seeing how awful we have been the last two games, the young arms have showed well.
Fried and Touki have both showed why they were rated so highly and give us hope for a better rotation next season or in the case of Fried maybe an elite bullpen arm.
If I would have told you our bullpen would give up 1 run in two games this series I think we all would have taken that in a heartbeat.
Seems to me the Braves have to look at RF,CF and C as the 3 places to upgrade if they want to legitimately compete the next few years for a title.
Will be very interesting to see what we do in the offseason after seeing how much of a talent gap there is with the elite teams.

No grading tonight; I was bartending during the game. I made a decent chunk of change on Dodgers fans tipping me heavy (and buying me post-shift shots) out of condescending sympathy.
