And that's precisely the problem. Acosta has taken the bait, allowed himself to be somewhat humiliated, and played into Trump's portrayal of the mainstream media. Trump's looniness speaks for itself. I frankly think that at times the media's going bonkers actually gives Trump home field advantage. Instead of the NY Times piece on North Korea's expanding nuclear capabilities on the top fold, we get Trump/Acosta.

Actually I think Trump Lunacy is the top story and should be above the North Korea story.

Trump Lunacy is THE story of our times. We have Caligula's Horse (not Caligula but his horse) in the White House. And the exchange with Acosta was one manifestation of it.
 
Acosta's job is to ask these questions and to get called on.

We see the same with sports writers and beleaguered football coaches or baseball managers
Belechik and Popovich get away with it - let them have a losing season.

Yeah, is this as legitimate as Stormy Daniels arrest. I would think Dumbass Krgrecw would have a little more respect for due process after what the last arrest was shown to be a political stunt by criminal cops who support Trump.

Well, when it happens in broad daylight with witnesses I can say it’s pretty legitimate. I guess since he admitted it, that’s not enough proof for you either. You can go back to jacking off to videos of people beating up cops now.
 
I looked at 5 news reports and none mentioned any witnesses to the physical altercation. If any do, feel free to link me. Avenatti said she hit me first which is only an admission of self defense. Equality can be a bitch and nowhere in the law does it say men are required to passively take violence against them if its a woman. In fact that would be unconstitutional. Who is right isnt determined by who has the most damage, well it is many times, but legally its not supposed to. There are plenty of women out there who get violent then try to use their pussy pass when someone fights back. I have had a woman try to do it to me. Luckily I had an impartial witness who told the cops the truth or I most likely would have been arrested and convicted. That doesnt always make it right to fight back even if its legal and I certainly wont support Avenatti if she didnt do something worthy of fighting back even if it is deemed legal. Its perfectly legal for police officers to punch women in the face if they even lightly kick them. So maybe you can explain to me why its okay for a 250 pound police officer to beat and taze a 90 pound woman who lightly hits him but no one else has that right to defend themself.

From what I have read the alledged DV came after Avenatti was kicking her out of his apartment. His ex-wife has come out in his defense saying he doesnt hit women. Also the troll who tried to set up false claims against Mueller made a vague tweet that seems to take credit for this although at this point it just looks like attention seeking. I think we need to wait for more information before jumping to conclusions. I was 100% right about the Stormy Daniels arrest and I believe those cops are now being a murder. The cops arent at fault here so far outside of maybe gleefully leaking the arrest. I am sure law enforcement which backed Trump at an 84% rate will be honest and impartial......

Of course Fox is backing it. Can you imagine all they fun they will have with President Elizabeth Warren or President Cory Booker (just examples I have pulled out a hat)? These press conferences have simply become circuses that distract from what is actually happening.

Glad to see Trump on the prison reform bandwagon. Good for him. Pardon the cynic in me (and my side plays the optics game as well), but I found it interesting that in the past week Trump invoked "God" in comments about the California wildfire (He's probably invoked "God" before in some sense, but it was front-and-center in these comments) and stood on stage with a bunch of African-Americans.
 
From what I read it was minor lowering of some sentences. Worthy of an "attaboy" but makes no difference in my view of Trump. I will praise anyone who makes any possible change. Even Hillary. I'll even say the police chief in my town has impressed me on a few things. I would love to hear Sessions response to this. I imagine it sounded a lot like this.
