REAL FOOTBALL Thread

It's like a mantra, the go to comment of every casual sports fan - "They lost. The coach should be fired."

The coach make the calls and Breese just running them. You play to win against Brady, not scared and this is what happens when you played scared.

Coach should have let Breese call the plays, like Belicheat do for Brady and Fox for Manning. They know what is best on how to run out a clock and Peyton for NO doesn't.

They werent winning by enough. Usually they are up about 3 scores...thats when they really get aggressive and pile it on. But since it was so close...they were not sure how to handle it.

You would think Brees coulda went to his patented dump off for 50 yards or the throw it up into quadruple coverage for the win...

But again, since the Patriots actually had a shot at winning....Brees did what he does best in clutch time....and CHOKED!!

I once again reference Brees in crunch time.

Player C Y'alll...is the human endorsement deal face of a city god tried to destroy...Drew crybaby statpaddin Brees

Kaep was sort of impressive yesterday. Mainly the 49ers were impressive. Kaep looked better at times yesterday, but overall the 49ers did a solid job with only 2 receiving options to speak of. VD is a monster. Teams know he is our only legit vertical passing threat and he still destroyed the Cardinals. I don't know how long the team can tread water with only Boldin and VD in the passing game though. Give Cleveland a second round pick for Josh Gordon and once the injured receivers come back, this is a scary offense.

NO way I'm giving a second round pick for a guy who is one strike away from being suspended for a year. Let another team take him.

However, I would trade a 3rd for Nicks.

Kaep was better yesterday. Still nothing special. Made some great deep throws and some quick decisions. The interception was a nice play by Dansby to tip the ball or else it would have been a TD. Kaep needs to play better if we are going to win the SB though.

After an awful draft in 2012 Baalke looks like is back to his old tricks with the 2013 draft. Its early but lots of good players are contributing already highlighted by Eric Reid who is freakin awesome.

I thought yesterday Kaep would look better than he had this season, save for week 1. The 49ers were going back to what got them to this point. Hard-nosed football with a stingy defense and a running game. We still had those in the win yesterday, but finally Kaep was allowed to open it up a tad. The past weeks he's been held back and that was fine, but he made some plays finally. Granted they weren't huge plays, but he had a little more confidence yesterday and that is going to be huge moving forward.

I honestly feel like the coaching staff isn't unleashing the full playbook right now. Like they don't want to tip their hand or something. Look how electric Kaep was against a formidable opponent in week one. I think they are slowly adding in wrinkles week by week and letting him do a little more. By the time the playoffs roll around and I hope we are near full strength, the offense will be clicking and Kaep will start playing amazing again.

Its about the weapons. Once the guys start coming back and Davis continues to get healthier this team is going to be extremely dynamic. The beginning of the season was rough but they are rounding into form right now. Next two games should be very winnable games and finishing the first half of the season at 6-2 is just fine with me.

I thought Davis was at 50% last week...and then he goes for 180 with two TDs? How's that work?

Is it strange to consider guys get healthier over time?

NOt sure if I ever said 50%. I have no clue of knowing how hurt someone is. Only that they are hurt.

For half a year of an oft injured Hakeem Nicks?

Well if you get the compensation back when he leaves in FA then its worth it. Nicks is a difference maker. You are right to point to his injury history but he could be a big difference maker come playoff time.

I guess it makes sense. I'd still rather take my chances on Josh Gordon. Especially since we should be getting an extra 2nd rounder thanks to Alex Smith. Gordon has put up some nice stats without having a QB worth a damn. He's a possible #1 kind of guy who's young and still under contract for a few years. I'd take the risk.

thethe def. said 50%. And the dude is running by the opposing teams secondary at will. Imagine when he's 100%............3.7 40 times.

Please find where I said that. I don't believe I did but I post a lot so I could have forgotten
