REAL FOOTBALL Thread

The Saints got screwed with 2 pass interference no-calls, but Sean Payton made a big mistake managing the time at the end of regulation and Drew Brees, the most accurate passer in the history of the game, was off the mark all night.
 
Officials weren’t really involved in this game for about 58 minutes. Complete blown missed call on an easy PI call on the Rams. A couple missed helmet to helmet hits that they also swallowed the whistle on helped the Rams too. Move franchise to LA and please the league. Get calls/no calls in the biggest game of the year to date and you are Super Bowl bound.
 
I am stunned. Almost glad its over because my heart cant take this ****. How bout that Saints defense though. About time they get some respeckt.

If Payton wasn't an idiot and would have called three running plays and made the Rams use their two timeouts then New Orleans wins the game pretty easily. Don't want to hear the refs BS when he could have ended it by simply running the football and kicking a FG. Payton is still crying about the refs, he has all offseason to cry now when the fact is he outsmarted himself and refused to play it conservative and win the game.

Problem with blaming the refs, if you put yourself in a situation where the refs can make or break your game, then you didn't win the game, you were rolling the dice hoping to win craps and busted. Refs are humans, they make mistakes, sometimes obvious ones. But they weren't the reason the Saints lost, the Saints has the ball in St Louis territory with 2 minutes to go and called 2 passing plays. Only acceptable passing plays are screens.Should have been running it between the tackles. Shades of the Falcons choking vs. the Pats, the refs boned the Falcons in that game with their non-calls and excessive calls, but it wouldn't have mattered if Shanahan just ran the clock out.
