Curve, change, change, FA at 95 to Flori. Nice sequence

Still hitting 95 with the FA.

It's pretty clear the pitch classifications are wrong for him and he's throwing SI (not FA) at 94-95, SL (not FC) at 86-87, a CU (not SL) at 80-83 and a CH around 86.

The velo is legit, sink is good, the breaking balls are legit, the CH looks fine, and the control appears acceptable.

I loved the Wright pick, and I still think he is the best pitching prospect in the system.

The data you've gotten on pitchers last year in regular season games, is any of it available for spring games?

Not that I know about.

The FA/SI is a very odd pitch. Good sink, but almost no side to side movement. We will see if it works or not.

Need to bump that good up. He gave up two bogus hits to good hitters and still finished 3 in ~40 pitches. I thought that was a great outting.

He got away with a few pitches, but given that's probably the Yankees OD lineup minus Hicks for Florial, that was very very promising. And yes, he pitched GREAT.

Right now i'd say Wright is the leader in the clubhouse for the #5 spot.

Agreed. Wright has been our best bet to be a TOR starter imo. He’s a no trade candidate for me.

It's funny how forgotten Wright has been in the Braves system.

Everyone talks about Touki, Anderson, and Soroka, even Fried/Gohara too but Wright hadnt got much hype for some reason.

Swanson has a 1.000 ops. I'm not saying... yeah, I am... Swanson gonna beast this season. I say his ops will fall from 1 to the .950-.975 range this season. Maybe .700- .725 if his wrist bothers him ;)

i'm looking for a 1.200 this season

I don’t see any truly elite pitches that he could ride to TOR status without elite control.

I see 2 plus or better breaking pitches, an average or better change, and a fastball that may not work well due to zero horizontal movement.

That could peak as a fringe #2, which I suppose qualifies as a TOR guy. Of course control can take him even higher.

I don’t consider Soroka a prospect any longer. We know exactly what he is, so to me, he is a young MLB pitcher struggling with injuries.
