He has a great curveball, if he can just throw it enough for strikes he should do well.

I think his changeup is very underrated and outside of coors he will prove to be able to command that fastball to all 4 quadrants.

We did similar last year using Markakis 4th, both have great contact skills and Simmons hit .292 last year.

Fried coming back out with 80+ pitches, bad command, a really quick Braves half of the inning. Show how tough you are kid.

His off speed pitches could turn him into the next Cole Hamels if he can command them, adding a sinker would help that too. I wanted us to trade for Hamels in the past in part to have Hamels mentor him.

I think Max has been tremendous tonight considering the environment. His last two starts have been incredibly encouraging. I mean, 6 innings, 5 hits, 1 walk, 1 run, and 4 strikeouts is a really good night in Denver.
