GDT: Cards @ Braves 5/15

Soroka clearly didn’t have his best stuff and he threw 7 innings of no run ball. Unreal. His ERA is under 1. Lolol he could go another but I’m guessing they pull him.

Ozzie should really not be switch hitting at all if he's only going to give an adjustment a 10 game try. He had lowered hands and then dropped it after about that sample size.

Problem is unlike Victorino, he's young, he probably needs to work on it in another place.

In May, he's 12 for 61(.197 Avg). Whatever he's working on, from either side, isn't working. Will Camargo or Culberson get some ABs at 2B soon?

we pushed Soroka over 100 pitches his first start back up here but pull him at 93 here? With this score and our pen i let him try for 8 innings.

Great game for him regardless.

I'm predicting that Soroka goes 7, strikes out 9, with one unearned run given up and 1 BB.

Austin Riley will go 2 for 3 with one walk, one strikeout, a homer, and a single. The homer will come in the 5th inning inning to left center field on a 2-1 fastball.

Is everyone just gonna ignore the fact that I called the Riley homer perfectly except I was only 1 inning off?

We shouldn’t have left Soroka in the game, we should just get some damn relievers that can throw strikes consistently.

We’ve finally figured out the problem with our bullpen! It’s definitely the footing on the mound.

Should be good to go now!

Austin Riley is the eleventh #Braves player in the live ball era to homer in his MLB debut.

Others: Gattis (2013), Heyward (2010), Schafer (2009), Francoeur (2005), Malloy (1998), Dye (1996), Horner (1978), Tanner (1955), Jethroe (1950), Mack (1945)

Winkler has thrown 7 pitches, all out of zone.

Ground crew out to repair big hole that Winkler has complained about. He even fell after delivery.
