Not calling you out specifically, but this illustrates the can’t win nature of being a manager.
Two weeks ago the whole board was on Snit for not resting his players more and now he’s being criticized for resting someone with a sore quadricep.
I just don’t get the Snit hate. At all.
He’s been a perfectly willing soldier for our analytics department. The players LOVE him and he’s perfectly serviceable as a tactical manager.
Overall, no disagreement here.I think the criticism was more directed at the fact that he was refusing to rest our older veteran players in spots where it was obvious to do so. We have a couple guys on the bench who mash lefties and he was refusing to sit Markakis against LHPs, even just occasionally. He caved once earlier this week I think, but that quote from him about resting those guys was ridiculous.

Julio needs a good start, and I think he gets it
You are so right. I can’t believe how correct you are.If he rested his regulars more maybe they wouldn’t develop sore quads?
This roster was set up with depth specifically to rest regulars regularly. It’s not really complicated at all...
There’s a reason guys started getting benched the day after Snit made those stupid comments. That reason is that he was making stupid decisions and the FO corrected him.
