Get this once and for all. My dislike for JD has nothing to do with on-field. I just can't stand his attitude. I feel his money would be better spent elsewhere. Like on pitching. I am sorry if it offends the eggheads here that treat the game as science first but all I can say is GET THE HELL OVER IT!!!

He's been one of the most valuable additions in the majors this year. Kinda funny that no one on the team seems to have a problem with his attitude... you know, that whole smiling gig and celebrating with the team, etc... just admit you were wrong, its not hard. I do it plenty.

In fairness, your original complaint with him was that if he didn't hit 30 hr and drive in 100rbi his contract was useless.

Shanks complained a month and a half ago that JD walked too much (he was leading the team in walks and I think as of now is top 10 in NL).

Well, he was hitting under .220 in late May. Other than that all that matters to me is what I think. So I admit nothing.

You're right it was and as I have said I am glad he showed up but I still don't have to like him. I could put together an All-Star team of guys I haven't cared for over the years.

Gamethreads are infinitely better than they were on scout or early years of this forum. Used to be a bunch of NegiBraves who would be negative even if we won the WS in 5 games. 2013 was particularly brutal for game threads. I dont remember at what point that stopped but I think the chef really helped keep those bleach drinkers away.

I would like to reiterate my view that the anti-Braves posters around here need to go back where they came from.

They dont post their share of good posts. The boards are already overcrowded and there's no room for them.
