Playoff GDT 10/7/19: Braves @ Cardinals Game 4 - The Death Blow for the Dead Birds

Freddie hit a 400 trillion foot homerun the other day. His elbow is fine enough to hit. He just is unfortunately in a horrible slump this series.

Surely FF, Donaldson, and markakis are due a big game. Hopefully 2 of the 3 get multiple hits, and the braves win.

I keep forgetting you just came back to the community and had another 1 month absence in the middle of the season.

Yes we know why Snit and Neck have loyalty towards one another.

Occasional disappearances are the norm for me in recent years. Real life **** keeps happening.

The top priority has to be getting a real corner outfielder. There aren't many real hitting catchers anyway, and they're expensive as hell because of it.

But we'll pick up Markakis' option instead.

If we could only upgrade one spot, i'd do corner outfield, but i'm not sure the team lets go of Nick. And as said, there arent too many teams with elite everyday catchers. Most teams platoon. But do need to upgrade.

Freddie claims his elbow has had zero effect on his play. If that's true, he's now the biggest choker in Braves playoff history. Since he's claiming he's fine, he deserves to be raked over the coals for having so many putrid ABs.

Maybe coming down on a superstar for getting a hit but not taking 2nd is probably the wrong move in retrospect

I feel great about Folty pitching Game 5. The atmosphere is gonna be wild and I think this team is going to take that big step forward. And even if they don't have the best game, they'll still know that they're the best team on the field and will fight until the last out. Braves will win!

He always struck me as an insufferable jackass and poor sport.

I've particularly noticed how he handled Carlos Martinez after he closed out game one and his handling of Acuna after getting nicked by a pitch yesterday. It seems like a lot of players around the league really respect the guy.

I've never seen him do anything clearly unprofessional. He's one of the best catchers ever, period. And with that look he's got a career in Hollywood playing gangsters if he wants it.

Throat slash taunting the Braves after winning. Really worthy of respect.

Apparently the Cards thought this was a throat slash:

So Yadier did this today

If Acuna's was a throat slash it was the weirdest one I've ever seen. It looks more like he was pointing at the name across his shirt.

Molina's was definitely a throat slash. Molina needs to catch one up and in Wednesday.

He's an emotional guy who was super pumped. It's not like he literally meant he wanted to murder the Braves. Nobody takes that seriously. Now if the Braves want to use that to motivate them to do better in game 5 then good on them. Freddie's aw shucks professional act doesn't make me feel any better as a fan than Molina's supposed disrespect.
