Impeachment

For starters the COMMANDER IN CHIEF controls our military so his decisions do not need to be approved.
.

I'm not saying he needs DoD approval. But there is likely a bureaucratic trail that will lay out what happened and why.

The never ending useless search continues!

Whatever you find would be irrelevant.

Ukraine didn't know what was at stake. Therefore, no quid pro quo.

And regardless - This is part of a legal investigation to figure out what happened to start the spying scandal.

New Fox News poll showing support for impeachment has surged, *including* among key constituencies:

-evangelical Christians (+5%)
-white men w/o college degree (+8%)
-rural whites (+10%)

Even his base is abandoning him.

A visit to the WH was at stake. If this was truly about corruption Trump would have asked for a private investigation so as to not draw the appearance he was trying to smear Biden. Then if any criminal wrongdoing is found charges can be brought, asking "the" Ukraine to make a public announcement about opening an investigation into Biden can only be to smear him because it does damage to Biden even if he is found to be 100% innocent.

Keep trying to pick apart minor details. Maybe one of the witnesses smoked a joint in middle school.

There is a difference between an investigation and using the power of the US government to try to get people to lie for Trump. Countries like UK can tell Trump to go to hell of he asked them to throw their intelligence agents under the bus to serve Trumps narrative. Countries like "the" Ukraine need us like a crackhead needs crack.

Your side will get all the chance in the world to prove Trump is the victim in a Senate trial. If the facts support you then you should look forward to it. I know I am. What do you think of the Chief Justice. If this gets to a trial Trump is going to **** all over him for requiring his bull**** to be backed up with evidence.

The politics of impeachment has turned. It could turn again. But right now the GOP should be worried about how much being in the tank for Trump will cost them.

Another woman came forward today.
I dont understand where the MAGAers get the strength to absorb this/ him everyday. And, it has been everyday since Nov 2016

Two foreign-born donors to a pro- Trump fundraising committee who helped Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to investigate Democrat Joe Biden were arrested late Wednesday on criminal charges of violating campaign finance rules and are expected to appear in court on Thursday, according to people familiar with the matter.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, two Florida businessmen, have been under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan, and are expected to appear in federal court in Virginia later on Thursday, the people said. The men’s nationalities were unclear, though both were believed to have been born in former Soviet republics.

Interesting development. The House wants to question those two as part of the impeachment proceedings. At least they will now know where they are. But I wonder if being charged with a crime will somehow make it easier for them to avoid answering questions. It appears they have been charged with crimes that are somewhat removed from the impeachment proceedings. But there may be some tenuous connections.

The indictment also charges that Fruman and Parnas schemed to donate money to an unidentified U.S. congressman, at the same time they were asking that congressman to get the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine removed from her job.

In the spring of 2018, Parnas met with the congressman seeking his “assistance in causing the U.S. government to remove or recall the then-U. S. Ambassador to Ukraine … Parnas’s efforts to remove the Ambassador were conducted, at least in part, at the request of one or more Ukrainian government officials.”

An attorney for the two men, John Dowd, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Parnas and Fruman have little history of political involvement but emerged suddenly in a circle of elite Trump donors after Parnas gave $50,000 to support Trump’s election in 2016 and a pro-Trump super PAC reported receiving $325,000 last year from a company the two men incorporated.

In May 2018, about six months before the men began working with Giuliani on his Biden investigation, a Florida business established by Parnas received a $1.26 million wire transfer from an account whose owner was represented by a real estate lawyer who specializes in assisting foreign buyers of U.S. property, court documents and corporate filings show.

Two days later, America First, the main pro-Trump super PAC, reported receiving $325,000 from a company Parnas and Fruman had incorporated the previous month called Global Energy Producers.

The White House gave a politically appointed official the authority to keep aid to Ukraine on hold after career budget staff members questioned the legality of delaying the funds, according to people familiar with the matter, a shift that House Democrats are probing in their impeachment inquiry.

President Trump’s order to freeze nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine in mid-July is at the center of House Democratic efforts to investigate allegations that Mr. Trump used U.S. foreign-policy powers to benefit himself politically. The hold came days before Mr. Trump’s request, on a July 25 call, that the Ukrainian president work with Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General William Barr to conduct investigations into presidential hopeful Joe Biden.
