Nats just re-signed Asdrubal Cabrera, 1 year 2.5 mil, that would have to take them out of JD now, no?

Kendrick, backup 1B, eventually Boom, Cabrera, Castro, Turner, Difo. Obviously you find a way to fit in JD but who knows.

another tea leaf...looks like the gnats are moving on from JD

Why is it that no one has commented on the fact that Pete Kozma is now a Brave.

MLBTR didn't say what kind of contract, MLB or MiLB. It appears he takes a toothpick to the plate instead of a bat. Another just glove guy. Where is the power hitting cOF?

Left field is gonna be a platoon of Muk and Doovy. That's been apparent for a while.

It probably will but if we get JD back, i'd still look for an upgrade there. Doesnt seem like they will though.

And you had to pop in to continue your crusade of white knighting for folks to protect them from me.

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

There is absolutely no way on God's green earth YOU asked that question with a straight face.

The biggest question surrounding this signing is whether it signals Sean Kazmar's actually hanging 'em up.

I realize AA wanted to add a glove-first guy that can handle SS better than Camargo, but if that winds up being Kozma rather than Hechavarria that's a bit disappointing.

Kozma is on a minor league deal, but i'd imagine once the JD situation is handled one way or the other. That they address the backup IF, although it could be Culberson.

So Nats sign Cabrera, Castro, Hernandez and Harris! Maybe they still looking to add Donaldson. But they don’t had enough money to sign a fan favorite Rendon. I really believe Donaldson is not going to sign with them.

The Cubs are supposedly demanding Robles from the Nats for KB. That’s obviously not going to happen, and is an unreasonable ask compared to the prospect package they are supposedly asking from the Braves.

I dont think the science is settled. It could be the ball is not moving at all but appears to be due to how our brains work.

Good point. We also thought the earth was round for hundreds of years, and now some very intelligent flat earthers are presenting very compelling evidence to the contrary.

Even though radar imagining is precisely tracking the path of these baseballs, the same phenomena fooling the human eye could also be toying with the Doppler effect relied upon by radar technology.

I don’t think the Nats signing a group of 2nd and 3rd tier free agents bumps them out of signing JD. Remember that outside of Turner the Nats infield is thin. Without JD they will be depending on Kieboom who is a unproven. Depending on Kieboom is like depending on AR.

The way my cosmology professor explained it the universe is like an expanding load of bread. Inside it are raisins (baseball teams). And inside the raisins are seeds (hitters, pitchers, bats, balls). The only thing that is happening is the bread is expanding as it gets baked. But no pitches are actually being thrown. That's all an illusion arising from how our brains perceive things.

Theo has to get the moon for Byrant in a trade to make up for the questionable moves he has made to shorten the Cubs competitive window. Theo’s days as the smartest guy in baseball are coming to an end.
