No more Kelsey

I was only referring to our time on Fox but yes Erin was the studio host in 2002 for our TBS games. Beau Estes took over and eventually did work with espn and cnn.

Who was the brunette from like 5-7 years ago? Always forget her name in the carousel of sideline talent.

Remember that a couple of years ago, she took a foul ball off her head/face that damaged her vision. But she got glasses and soldiered on. She's is trooper, and count on the fact that many of the players respect her for that particular reason alone. First Hamels breaks down, now this. Still waiting for the good news about 2020.

The only way this would make any sense is if Kelsey got a national network job. But with how much she’s on social media, if that were the case, Kelsey would have likely announced it by now. Looking on social media, the majority of Braves fans are ticked off by this news

Erin Andrews too.

I have no idea if she got better after going national, but Andrews with the Braves was hands down the worst in-studio talent I've ever seen. Ever. She couldn't pronounce even common non-English names (once calling Ivan Rodriguez [Eastern Euro pronunciation of Ivan] rod-RIG-gwez), and stumbled over the names of plays anyone with even the slightest knowledge of the sport would know (one I recall was a Grand (3-4 second pause) Slam (2-3 second pause) Homer (slight pause) Run, each word spoken like it had a question mark after it). She's one of the very few people who's exits I've celebrated (Chip the first time, Paciorek, and Andrews is that list).

You must be unaware that Brian Jordan exists. Dude can rarely form a coherent sentence, stumbles all over the place, and hasn't improved in the decade he's roughly been on the job.

Totally fair. I mean, of them all there's no one I hate more than Chip (maybe on the planet), but what I was really trying (and, yes, failing) to say was that she brought the least knowledge to the job of anyone I've ever seen.

She was awful. She got better.

This news about Kelsey stinks. 😭 There has to be more to the story.

Then a fan gave her a glove and she always forgot and left it at home when she left for the game.

Yeah this is pretty confusing to say the least, fans liked her, players liked her. Unless she got a national network job, no idea about this.

I mean...she actually is the one that left. She was just released from her contract before it ended. She took another position, in football I believe. Like someone mentioned, she had a stepping stone position with the Braves.

She didn't take another position.

It's not uncommon for reporters like her who have a contract with FOX to work multiple sports.

Yeah, she only did a few games anyway. It’s been widely reported that it was FOX that let her go.

I think FOX does this often.

Hire young fresh new meat out of college, they become too expensice to keep as a sideline journalist and then bring in the new one.

The Athletic report seems to indicate that it was the Braves who made the decision, not her and not Fox.
