The Coronavirus, not the beer

Its not a distraction. Its the absolute truth in the face of an information war with our #1 adversary.

Funny how I did not read one thing on these boards when China accused the US of the country starting this pandemic.

Strange.

Because we don’t acknowledge childish accusations.

definitely Trumpian to stoop down to someone’s level and continue a pissing contest that does nothing to help the situation or instill confidence in markets. So fascinating that you’re obsessed with trump getting into such a public pissing contest.

but again, his distractions are obviously working if we’re sitting here debating this.

Amazing you think it's a pissing contest. China must be punished and for that the world needs to be reminded who is at fault.

We can finally restructure the supply chain out of communist hands and make americans more wealthy.

But you establishment folks and globalists dont want that.

"You go out to the Midwest, you go out to other locations, and they're watching it on television, but they don't have the same problems."

chosen one 3/20/2019

I hope the Midwest doesn't catch the New York virus, or the California virus, or the Seattle virus. That would be awful.

UK government will pay 80% of wages up to £2500 a month to those in jobs but not working.

This is a very good way of doing it. Hope other countries follow.

Actually this goes to show you how clueless Trump really is handling this thing.

Nobody in the Executive knew about this law? lol

its not just chosen one but the people he has surrounded himself with...they do not inspire confidence...to put it mildly

I wonder who hired them lol....

Let me get this straight...

Trump the other day said "i knew it was a pandemic long before anyone called it a pandemic". He's known about this since January... and he didn't have this in the planned response?

It takes Evil Chuck Schumer to call him and tell him to do it? What leadership.

Very pathetic the way chosen one attacked Peter Alexander for asking him what do you say to Americans who are scared.

When asked a similar question Pence said "Do not be afraid, be vigilant."

That is all that is called for, but chosen one is not even capable of that.

It is worth noting that one of Alexander's colleagues at NBC News just died of the coronavirus. The question he asked is a softball question anyone could provide an answer to. Crazy.

Trump needs to give some red meat to his base.

Pretty certain the Alexander exchange will be clipped and reposted all over right wing social media as "he fights for us"

4 days later Italy data for 3/18

4,207 new cases, 35,713 total cases

475 new deaths, 2,978 total deaths

hasn't crested yet

Italy update (3/20/2020)

5,986 new cases

627 deaths

very high mortality rate is due to a combination of things: old population, overwhelmed medical system, lots of smokers. About two-thirds of fatalities are men. Quite a gender gap. Might reflect more men being smokers. Or could be that men are less resilient in the face of certain things.

some suspect that America's obesity problem will be a huge risk factor as well

"I accept full responsibility. If someone is unhappy, if somebody wants to blame someone, or complain about someone, blame me. There is no one else who is responsible for this decision."

-Donald Trump

Lol jk.

Weird hearing that from an executive leader though. Almost refreshing.

China claiming the U.S. made the virus is very Trumpian. It's beating him to the punch. He's going to do something just as wrong-headed. I doubt China would've ever said that publicly if they had been dealing with a normal President, one who they didn't think was going to take advantage of every context to spin lies that benefit him.

The question is - how does anyone deal with a liar like Trump?
