TV Thread

Caught a couple episodes of Jeff Ross' Historical Roasts that just popped up on Netflix. Probably the most politically incorrect show I've ever seen, but I have always gotten a kick out of Ross' schtick. Lots of guest appearances with stars dressing up as historical figures (Bob Saget as Lincoln, John Stamos and John Wilkes Booth, Seth Green as David Bowie). It's not completely tasteless (pretty close though), but it brings me back to the halcyon days of The National Lampoon where nothing or no one was safe from ridicule.

Just watched Westworld. Really loved it.

Just binged the first 5 episodes of Euphoria. Also really like it. Good stuff by HBO

I recently discovered Great News on Netflix having missed its two season run on NBC. That show is absolutely brilliant! Like Better Off Ted, I can believe it got axed after such a short run.

I'm holding out hope Netflix will resurrect it. They have a pre-existing relationship with Tina Fey and Great News would appeal to the same audiences as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

disney+ looks way too great. MCU bringing a lot of heat, I was already excited with The Mandalorian, Clone Wars getting it's appropriate Finale, and the show on Cassian Andor

Big Mouth on Netflix is a hilarious animated TV show on Puberty. HILARIOUS, but pretty much raunchy as it gets.

Stumptown had a good pilot I thought. But I love Cobie Smulders, so I'm probably a little biased.

I loved Futurama so I tried to watch Disenchanted on Netflix. That show is hot garbage. It's a comedy that forgot to include jokes.

Anyone catch Watchmen? Worth watching?

It's very well-made, but I had a lot of trouble figuring out what the hell was going on. After it ended, I had to go look up what happened in those comics to which it is a sequel in order to make sense of what I'd seen.

Anyone here watching Tiger King on Netflix?

Aww ****, I've been waiting for someone to mention this for some spicy memes.

The alligators that got roasted in the supposed Arson? Michael Jackson’s alligators. Documentary glossed over that.

Is this one of the few films where there’s no face and just a bunch of shady people? Wonderful Whites is one also. There’s not one likable person in either of those films

Thanks for the responses. I'm only into the third episode, but it's the oddest collection of misfits I've ever seen in a documentary. The tigers are the least predatory beasts in the whole show.
