He doesnt have the benefit of the doubt with me after all the **** he has pulled. So neutral position is disapproval of what he does. That said, Trump is probably the only politician that will want a pound of flesh from China when this is over. He will probably bungle that too but I think all the rest Republican or Democrat will just forgive and forget when this is over. I dont know if that is in our best interest to do that but I sure as hell want that pound of flesh from China over this. Maybe this is hyperbole but this almost feels worse than 9/11 because this isnt isolated to 2 towers. People are getting this at work. Multiple family members are dying. It really just feels like random death roaming. How long before someone who posts on this forum has a family member die or gets a serious case of this virus. I feel like its a matter of time. I dont work the highest risk jobs for this virus but its certainly not the safest with the amount of people I see per day. If I get it I most likely would pass it to a family member who is elderly and has smokers lung. I am no expert on this **** but I know a dunce when I hear/see one and we are being led in this time of crisis by the stupidest mother****er we could possibly find and so many people in this country only give a damn about the effect it has on his re-election chances and cicrlejerk the stupidest conspiracy theories.

So here's my guess, which I know you'll dismiss bc you prefer your narrative.
States who dont need the equipment are trying to get it for their own stockpiles for future need. And that the federal stockpile is for them to decide who needs it now.
Again, that is my guess just using basic human logic and positive intent.

CDC estimates that there are typically 4500-4900 total Flu/pneumonia deaths in NY per year.
The bizarre need to downplay this because MAGA is honestly just callous at this point.

Rationalize what Republicans mean. This is not the "process" you applied to De Blasio outlawing churches or whatever.
CFR is not that informative. The rate of growth for deaths over a 2 day period have a consistent downward trajectory. We have been quarantining for 4 weeks mostly. That rate isnt going to spike up over the long term.
Its bot about 'downplaying' it. It's about updating models based on current information. When you do that there is a much better long term picture then what you seem to believe.
