I've been blown away by the amount of people begging the government to cause them financial harm, so nothing would surprise me
I think understanding this pandemic is a different situation that requires restraint, compared to telling consumers to spend a few extra dollars to stick it to China... maybe MAGA types like thethe would do it. Don't think the average person would do it enough to make a difference.
I mean, didn't say we want status quo. But you're asking the entire world minus russia, china, and north korea to form an economic coalition excluding China... they have a billion people and some nukes. They aren't just gonna go to sleep quietly.
So what does a response to them look like?
If your conspiracy theories are true about them using covid 19 as a biological weapon, and they had no issue using it on their own people, then i really have a hard time seeing how they would have any issue staging a larger attack.
Under this paradigm we should be attacking them now because it's only a matter of time before they do something worse unprovoked

I was doing some math earlier today trying to figure out how many people in the US are or have actually been infected. I based my number on a couple of points. First, I noticed that the percent of 0-19 year olds in my state that have tested positive is incredibly low (1%). To me this shows that kids either have very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. In other words there are a ton of unknown positives out there. Not sure if this is true for every area, but I think it is true in most locations with mediocre testing capabilities. The second is looking at countries that have tested a large percentage of their population. I looked at their case fatality rates and extrapolated that to the US. Just based off this very basic analysis, I found that the actual cases in the US may be about 8 times higher than our current number actually suggests, or about 1% of the US population is or has been infected.
