Race

Economic and Familial.

I'd throw in:

1) Kowtowing to teachers unions and public school systems, spending 2-3x times more per pupil than we did 50 years ago while black outcomes remain subpar - there's strong support among blacks for charters schools and greater school choice for good reason

2) Minimum wage laws - if we want to talk about structural disadvantages to blacks, here's a law with explicitly racist origins that has persisted far too long...black teenage unemployment was twice that of whites in 2019, but there was no gap in the early parts of the 1900's

3) War on drugs - a failure which has gone on long enough

Among others

1) We spend 2-3 times more for everything. From Ketchup to gasoline
Dig through these archives to find last years state wide teachers strikes thread. I think you will find what they asked for not that unreasonable

2) " The minimum wage was conceived as a way to help bolster wageworkers and decrease class stratification. It was first introduced in the United States with the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA). ... Classical economic theory suggests that the minimum wage would have a stabilizing effect on the economy."

If anything ---- and we can go back to the sponsored training and apprentice programs that existed before the 1980's

3) Granted

wow Trump steps up for school choice " and the colored girls sing doot de doot de doot doot de doot doot de doot de doot"

school choice will exacerbate the division between the haves and have nots
In another words, "income equality" where one group gets a better / more education than another

I don’t get the school choice thing

It literally will still leave people behind

Stop funding from property taxes and spread it evenly throughout and everyone gets a better school system instead of some

This ain’t hard

I am heavily in favor of charter schools with the exception that they cant be used for a religious school. We have enough nutbags out there as is.

We got white people pissed off about wearing masks, egg mcmuffins

and maple syrup. Meanwhile, in the past two weeks, six black men were

found hanged in a tree, in a public space,

yet the “authorities” claim all six as suicides...

black people are showing great restraint in not burning everything

to the ****ing ground and I don't know how they do it

Five years ago today, 9 black churchgoers were slaughtered by a white supremacist in Charleston, S.C.

After the killings, a black woman,
@BreeNewsome
, scaled the flagpole of the South Carolina State House and removed the Confederate battle flag from it.

...and when they spend more on the 6th or the 8th to make up for what they're not spending on the 7th, businesses won't notice at all.
