I think the last president I voted for was W's first term. I'd probably vote for that guy again, but i've probably come further toward the middle since then on a lot of issues.

There are only 2 choices for President.

A President Biden will have to reverse as much of Trump's disastrous policy and appointments as possible, as quickly as possible.

Biden is a buffoon, but that's lower case buffoonery, not all caps SCREAMING IDIOT. There's a huge difference. He's also an experienced centrist democrat who has worked with Reps his whole career. The GOP elite secretly loves him, as do the 1 percenters. That's why Trump and his team is so afraid of Biden. They know that many GOP insiders would prefer a Biden over a Trump, for both policy and keeping their brand appearing less repulsive.

Interesting that the drop in GOP id has been larger than the increase in Democratic id. The GOP brand has cratered. Incompetence has done what venality and scandal could not do.

I imagine the July numbers will continue the trend given the resurgence of COVID-19 in the sunbelt.

Herbert Hoover was a good man, but he never wrapped his arms around the crisis facing him. People will forgive a lot of things, but they expect a competent response when a problem shows up in the president's in-box. On a smaller scale there was Katrina.

Not mere incompetence for there has been plenty of that. It's fear of dying in a hospital parking lot. OO has the ability to break the whole apparatus of govt, health and general safety.
