Pache called up

Is his last name pronounced

Pache and Waters were splitting time in CF/RF, correct? Would be nice if Pache had plenty of RF experience if he is moved to RF with Ender in CF so we don't have to say, "well, the ball comes off the bat differently in RF vs CF" after a misplay.

I think him playing left has more to do with the amount of ground to cover than anything else. On the road he’ll likely play right. Now whether or not he should be playing center, instead of a corner, is a whole other debate.

With that being said, I think Pache should be playing center, not Ender. Pache is likely the superior defensive centerfielder.

I think it's more than likely he is superior. I'm not trying to dog Ender because he's been very good previously. But the Pache I've seen over the years is already a stud CF. It's not the new car smell thing either. He's so good. If many haven't seen him, they will get to know how good he is really quick. Next year if Snit keeps making the lineup. Ha....

Quick reminder that Andruw wasn't a full time CF for the Braves until 98. And I'm not ready to call Ender a bum in CF based on 20 games. But it's an easy path to see Ender being traded/released with Pache in CF in 2021.

I would agree with that. But I also think that Ender has slipped more than a little in CF. That's also why I said next year probably.

The Braves do seem to be of the opinion that playing LF at Truist Park requires more range than RF, and they don't seem overly concerned with arm strength. This is consistent with that view.

No matter how good Pache is defensively, he probably isn't better than Andruw...who played in a corner in deference to the incumbent. It's not like Ender is a worn down McCutchen playing CF undeservedly, so I don't really have much of a problem with this OF alignment. Duvall is also very good out there, so the OF grass is going to be pretty well covered no matter what.

This may be the best defensive OF in the game currently, but that might be the homer in me.

Ender has been going through this for quite a bit more than 20 games.

Pache optioned to the alternate site. How does this affect his clock? He was called up but never played a game.
