I’d take the Braves over any team not from LA.
Damn angels. That Simmons deal will always haunt us.
Screw the Dodger$. I look forward in continuing their misery.

Same here. When I saw that it was our first NLCS appearance in 19 years it didn't sound right. Born in 1987, I was a 90's kid who fell in love with the Braves on TBS every day during my summer breaks from school. The Braves always being good to great is so deeply ingrained in my subconscious I guess somewhere along the way, even after we stopped being dominant, I just assumed we made an NLCS sometime in the past 10-12 years. Can't believe the last time it actually happened I was 14 years old.Such a great feeling to get back to the NLCS finally! It doesn't feel like it's been almost 20 years because those 90's runs are so engrained in my memory. The pressure is off these guys now no matter who they face. Just go out there and play!
I have to give props to the pitching too - it's been ridiculous despite the teams being faced, Considering what we've been through this year with the pitching staff, I couldnt even imagine this outcome.
I'm curious if there's any off days scheduled in the NLCS.

And no, there aren't any scheduled off days in the NLCS. You'll have to scroll down a little bit, but here's a link to the NLCS schedule. Games run from Oct. 12 through Oct. 18 (if necessary).

No off days could burn us through the pen early if things go poorly.
I'm still pretty optimistic... per that article Vegas says we are the second favorite team to win the WS, only behind LA.
Indeed. I have no idea what to make of Anderson. His stuff doesn't wow you on paper but hitters will tell you how good your stuff is and they clearly struggle against him.
That's actually how I always cook steaks. Gotta get that Maillard going.
pretty much the same story from the minors. his stuff isn't eye-popping, but he k'd 11+ per 9 regularly, so it seems he knows what he's doing.
any of y'all sous vide? i never much cared for steak, and certainly never cooked it myself, until i got one.
now, choice(!) sirloins from costco are my go-to. 3 hours at 131 sous vide and then quick sear on the grill or piping hot cast iron, and those bad boys get stupid tender.
i did, however, just luck into some NY strips at costco that were mislabeled as "beef for stew" for $3.99/lb. they're beautiful, and one of them is being enjoyed tonight.
I like to cook with fire, personally. The only sirloin I cook is Brazilian Picanha, otherwise it's too tough for me. I only buy choice or above... mainly ribeyes, filets or NY strips. I also love flank and occasionally skirts.
I also cook a ton of pork chops, ribs, spatch cooked chickens, rack of lamb, turkey breasts, wings... mmmmm. I love to grill.
i appreciate how fool-proof sous vide is. i promise you the regular ol' sirloins i make aren't the least bit tough. people consistently rave about them when i make em.
i respect those who don't have to use it tho. i'm a good cook, but never was good at perfecting steak. i frequently make the stuff you listed, but almost always sous vide them.
leg of lamb is next up on my meat list. i love the racks, but prefer the big boneless legs.
I just checked over at Baseball Savant, and hitters' barrel percentage against Anderson sits at about 1%, which is pretty much insane. Sustaining that is highly unlikely, but it is indicative that he only gave up 1 HR in 32.1 IP. He works the top of the zone very well and that's going to be the key for him. I'm guardedly optimistic that he's going to be a solid contributor going forward.

I suspect he has great tunneling. As long as he doesn't have control issues he should be a good one.
I sort of think the no days off should slightly benefit the Braves over the dodger$. There pen has some good pieces but not the depth. We will have to limit their starters to 5-6 innings max though.
I think it's advantage dodgers b/c we have 3 starters. Two pen games in game 4 and 5 could eat up the pen.
The right way to prepare steak.

Have you ever made a picanha? That's my favorite cut.
