Why do we listen to people who lost elections as if they are experts in winning elections?
McCaskill tried her approach. She ran as a caravan-hysteria Dem& lost while grassroots organizers won progressive measures in MO. Her language here shows how she took her base for granted.
So you're solution to grab more undecided, independent voters is go further left.... Great plan, lol. There is a reason why the Dems chose Biden as their candidate and it isn't because he leaned far to the left.

Abbott is right! Republicans in Texas allowed for counting to begin several days before Election Day and republicans in PA did not. That’s really the sum of it.

Incrementally improving access to health care is their one great issue. That should be 90% of their message.
In some ways though the elections simplify credibly accused creepy joe's life quite a bit. He has a yuge challenge in his in box. Focus on that and try to fold in some long-term reforms on things like health care and maybe some infrastructure. Rinse and repeat. Don't let the culture wars get in the way.

Naturally you'd quote AOC at this point. I swear that woman can't open her mouth without something stupid flopping out of it.
Ignoring members of your party who lost because they're not "experts in winning elections" makes about as much sense as not doing autopsies on people who died of Covid because their bodies weren't experts at fighting off the disease. You study how someone died of a disease to learn where you went wrong in treatment and how to better address the disease in the future. You listen to people who just lost elections as they're often experts in why they lost. If you learn from them, you might figure out what went wrong and be better at avoiding those pitfalls in the future.
As for turning the party over to young people, there are always young, energetic members of a party. They also tend to be extremists as their world view hasn't been tempered with age and experience. If you hand the keys to the kingdom over to them, you can say goodbye to moderates and even moderate Democrats.
There's a common bias people have in that they overestimate how many people actually share their world view or would share their world view if they were only offered the opportunity. A lot of people on the far left seem to be under the impression that they would sweep to power with large gains if they could get the party to run on far left ideals. What we learned in the Congressional election is that all Republicans had to do was tie Democrat incumbents to the far left of their party and it scared people into voting for the Republican. If the left were to run on far left ideals, they'd be doing the Republicans work for them.
Remember, control of the House isn't decided in deep blue or deep red districts. It's decided in purple districts where moderates don't want either extreme.
Biden now leads Pennsylvania.

There were 5,023 military absentee ballots in 2016. I dont know how they voted but I would expect atleast Trump to get 55-60% of that vote if not better.

According to Kornacki, 8k were sent out. Therr have been many already counted, and no guarantee the rest even get sent back.
Today is just the deadline for them to come back.
