The Biden Presidency

This commercial is all over MAGA media I am watching. Medicare sure is popular. Kind of weird for RW media to be telling people they are entitled to things.

When Biden does his first Presidential Address to Congress sometime in the next few months, it will be quite the sight to see two women sitting behind him.

Vice President Harris and Speaker Pelosi sitting behind the old white guy. What a crazy thought 2 years ago.

I don’t think Pelosi is long for that job.

I don’t think Pelosi is long for that job.

The progressives in the House agreed to give her 4 years as Speaker as a bridge to someone else.

That was the last I remember when they won the House in 2018. It would look bad for the party to oust her as Speaker anytime before 2023 (assuming they would hold the House after the 2022 elections).

Pelosi for all the hate she gets, does get **** done and keeps her caucus in order when it matters. Boehner and Ryan could not do that.

Biden should offer her a job. It would be a graceful way to ease her out.

Only job that would make sense for someone as high profile as her would be State.

Don't think her ego would allow her to go from 2nd in line from the Presidency to Secretary of Labor. Would have to be State, not even Ambassador to UN.

I refuse to believe this is the path he would go down. Cheney might be the only person in this country who is as hated as the orange man.

Biden has supported every war weve ever done. Its a shame the media couldnt be bothered asking him about foreign policy.

Biden and Cheaney are long lost pals

I actually consider this a great start. Not because of what Chaney will advise but because it shows Biden might actually try to deescalate the current political climate.

Part of the reason the establishment despised Trump was he deaccellerated the war machine

Thats a nice narrative you have there. Would be a shame if someone came along and fact checked it.

Trump dropped more bombs than Bush or Obama in their first term. Record level bombing in Afghanistan with more civilians killed. The troops are still very much in those wars we dont want to be in. Trump didnt solve anything regarding that.

I said deacclerated not stopped

He could do that with someone that isn't Dick Cheney.

If Graham hadn't gone off the deep end he could have been a defense pick.

One lesson for me from Obama’s first term is that picking your cabinet based

on optics or messaging purposes is dumb. Choose the most progressive,

competent people you can find. Keeping Bob Gates at DOD gets you a

day of good headlines followed by two years of headaches

I don't see evidence that he did anything other than piss off our allies and move a few chess pieces around, letting Russia widen their territory. NK, for all the BS PR and renewed diplomacy ended up 1 step forward and two steps back.

Biden will re-connect with allies and provide some strength and stability. If he can have a significant foreign policy success, he'll probably win a Nobel Prize, whether he deserves it or not.
