REAL FOOTBALL Thread

What has he done to you?

He is one of the classiest people in the NFL bar none.

He's not one of the classiest people in the NFL. He's a pompous ass like pretty much every top talent in the NFL.

I like to see Peyton choke because it's fun to see the human side of someone.

My respect for Kaep just went up. He blamed himself, not many players would do that when they mess up. He said "I", not the "Us" or "Team".

The rule that they can't review this call needs to be changed

Not really. Once the whistle blows the ball is dead. That is the way the it should be. In this case, it didn't matter cause the Niners got it back anyways on next play.

Based off what?

Explain.

Well to start, he wanted (with Brees) to be excluded from the Franchise Tag.

Ignoring that.

Former Colts lineman Adam Meadows tells a tale

"For a guy who doesn't get sacked a lot, you don't want to hear it when he does," says Meadows, who left the Colts after the 2003 season and retired in 2007. Meadows says that during the 2000 season he was diagnosed with pneumonia on a Monday and had lost 14 pounds by the time he was able to practice again that Friday. Still ailing, Meadows managed to play that weekend. But after the team lost at New England, Manning ripped his performance: "We're paying you to be better than that."

and

When Meadows left practice early to attend the birth of his second daughter, he says Manning asked why he couldn't have babies in the offseason.

Or

Before the Super Bowl three years ago, Manning pissed off teammates when he had the Colts ban hotel-room visits from relatives and friends the week before the game. "I don't want any crying kids next to me while I'm trying to study," he said during a team meeting, according to Sports Illustrated's Michael Silver.

Sick talent, but he's an ass like most. Who can forget his protection issues comment?

You are reaching. Really reaching to be honest.

There is a difference between talking **** during the game and winning a game and running over and getting in someone's face talking ****. Most athletes have a level of respect for other competitors that is shown when the game has been decided.

To be fair, we don't know that he was talking ****, though it wouldn't surprise me if he was. He did put his hand out to shake hands, but it who knows.

Give me a break on that ****.

Yeah I would agree with you. Watching the punt. Lee makes a large hop. You can argue that running inot the kicker may not have been a right call as exceptions to eit
(a) Incidental to and after he had touched ball in flight.

(b) Caused by kicker’s own motions.

(c) Occurs during a quick kick, or a kick made after a run behind the line, or after kicker recovers a loose ball on the ground. Ball is loose when kicker muffs snap or snap hits ground.

(d) Defender is blocked into kicker.

Lee made a very large hop. He moved about a full yard.

Damn Bedell, the nostalgia is hitting me, I am you tubing all the 70's classics I grew up to. There is so many, but when I get to the 90's, I can't remember one good song, that is how pathetic it was.

I like the 80's as well but not as much because I spent most of my life during that time in Europe so I was a Depeche Mode, Enigma, Enya, OMD, Wang Chung into the groove person, SAVE THE CULTURE CLUB posts, they got on my nerves since living in England they played their crap along with Rick Astley WAAAAYYYY too much.

Mooning a person is harassment?

WOW, that is a new one. I can understand groping, saying things, but sticking your shorts down and mooning a person is not what I call harassment. I did that in high school and college to females and males and wasn't accused of it. Hell, I did it in Europe at a basketball game to fans because they called me names that can't be mentioned here when I torched their asses.

Ummm her account didn't say anything about mooning. It had to do with him dropping trou and then putting his ass in her face while she was checking him for an injury. His story is mooning, her story which was corroborated bythe athlete he claimed to be mooning, was not that. He dropped his pants and stuck his hairy ass in her face. Probably cause he thought it was funny, For sure did it because he knew there would be no serious consequence.

If you have to dig that deep to find negative stuff about someone, then you are simply looking for a reason not to like someone.

By pretty much every account, Peyton is a very classy guy. I'm sure he's been a dick sometimes, as no one is a saint all the time. But he is primarily a very classy/likeable guy. He was just voted most respected player in the NFL by his peers.

I can't stand Sherman, Pete and the Seahawks but lulllllzzzzzzzzzzzzzz at the Niners and any San Fran fan whining about officials.

Go Broncos.
