No All Star Game in Atlanta This Season?

After reading through three pages... can anyone explain to me how this bill is suppressing votes?

Are you actually making the argument that not passing out free snacks and water is akin to Jim Crow laws?
 
Biden has been given 4 untruth marks by Wash Post for his comments last week.

Reading the actual law, anyone can get a voter ID for FREE by going to the appropriate voter registration site.

Btw if they want to make a statement. Atlanta is a perfect place to do so. Where Hank Aaron broke the home run record despite all of the hate against him.

The whole thing cracks me up. People can still bring their own food and water of course. Poll workers can still give out water. The only thing they changed was reinforcing that candidates can't hand stuff out. It came about because a democratic state candidate's campaign was giving out free pizza at one of the polling places in Dekalb county.

It has some things I question, but overall it's a good bill.

It guarantees 17 days of early voting. Each precinct is now REQUIRED to have a drop box for ballots. Those were only added last year due to the pandemic - they weren't there before. Yeah, they're inside, but they're secure now. People can of course still mail their ballots in as well

Even the wapo said this actually EXPANDED voting access.

It ended up an ok bill after they took out the restrictions on Sunday voting. But from a political perspective the whole thing is a howler of an unforced error by the Republikaners ©. It would be political malpractice for the Dems not to be chirping about it.

Let me ask you. Was the last election rigged? Or were you somewhere January 6 you shouldn't have been?

I see a bunch of posts about Jim Crow..blah..blah. While I don't think that everything is meant to be a suppression tactic, there is still legislation out there that has a Jim Crow tinge to it.
 
Someone can easily point to it in this bill, but no one has yet. No one.

And expanding voting hours doesn’t feel suppressive?
