I’m not sure how anyone can categorize it as bad luck now - it’s not a small sample size. They need to make adjustments and improve. This **** is unreal. They’re way too talented for this.

If your choice is between Webb and Dayton, somebody made a serious mistake up the chain. Melancon has 16 saves for SD. We spent $11M on a ****ty fourth starter when we needed to spend that money on the bullpen. AA sucks. Long and hard.

The series will now be a failure unless the Braves take the last 3. You can’t let the sorry Pirates split or win the series when you currently have Atlanta’s record.

Looking at fWAR, I see a few interesting things...

1. Only 3 current pitchers have a negative fWAR: smyly, Tomlin, and Webb.

2. Ozuna and smyly are the weakest links on the team right now according to fWAR.

3. It's still early, swanson was negative Wednesday when I looked, and now he's 0.3. Hopefully we see a surge from some guys soon.
