This isn't new. The same situation happened in Texas in 2003 over redistricting. Democrats left the state to prevent a quorum and the governor ordered their arrest if they were found within the State of Texas.
The whole thing is just another example of the puerile behavior we see in modern American politics.

Granted that you identified another issue like this but I think politics has changed post Obama era. The left has unchallenged power and was continuing to grow. What we have seen the past few months is a changing of the tide.

I dont even understand how a middle aged person can be making minimum wage. I know people who dont speak english who get hired on above minimum wage at fast food places. Walmart starts at like 11$ an hour. And there are absolutely people who dont even deserve minimum wage. Some people go to work actively trying to avoid doing any work and complain about their pay.

It’s a 163 page bill for something that should take a short paragraph. Color me skeptical.

I saw a lot of fast food places and gas stations the entire length of FL and GA the past couple of weeks. Everyone of them hiring, each one a minimum of $11 to start. A tire shop willing to train, starting at $15. Every grocery store, Dollar Tree, pharmacy, Wal-Mart, restaurant, every retail place of any kind had a hiring sign up.
I can't imagine the level of incompetence it would take to be working a minimum wage job right now.
