The Coronavirus, not the beer

Masks

Are

Useless

I'm glad that our lefty friends have finally acknowledged that by refusing to go to bat for LA County

Those stats aren't great.

In Parks and Recreation, someone says that the last three towns Ben, the budget consultant, went to help had to declare bankruptcy. It was pointed out that he had to go to those towns because they were in dire financial trouble. So naturally there will be more bankruptcies where budget consultants are needed.

The same is true with masks. Areas hit hardest went harder on masks trying to get control. So naturally the numbers would be worse where masks are most prevalent.

It is clear no amount of data will convince you.

Perhaps you can reference the single RCT stufy that was done

I'm hesitant to mandate vaccines. However I will strongly encourage everyone who can to get one. If not for yourself, then for others you might put at risk.

The narrative you are pushing will lead to forced vaccinations of school aged children.

I got a more amusing example. There appears to be causality between the fasten the seatbelt sign and air turbulence. It is uncanny how often the plane starts bouncing around after that sign goes on.

Rules for thee, but not for... well yall know the drill by now

I did point that out. That picture really surprised me when I first saw it. Reckless and hypocritical. At least when a group of mask denialists aren't wearing a mask they are merely being reckless. But here we have both recklessness and hypocrisy in one picture.

It's super weird that the places with mask mandates don't provide any noticeable benefit than the places without them.

Time after time. Example after example. And the one study that was done show. Completely uselessness.

Yeah. If the fasten seatbelt sign was disabled I'm sure there wouldn't be any turbulence.

There's no good data on it because it's not an easy thing to study. I'm generally in the don't mandate masks camp but think people should generally wear them because theres no real downside. Even a 5-10% reduction in transmission is enough to make wearing one worth it.

There's so much not controlled for in the examples thrown about. For instance, cities are more likely to have mask mandates but high population density and heavy public transportation use makes them more vulnerable to Covid.

I can't imagine even beginning to control for all the variables.

It's like saying people who have sex more are more likely to get pregnant than those who don't.

Simple facts aren't things sturg understands.

I long for the days where we require evidence of things working before virtue signaling and mandating people do things in compliance
