Let me know when you're in the Rapid City area... if I can get down there depending on work/family, etc... I always love an excuse to go to the Black Hills

Gonna start the day at the Badlands at 5am, work my way to Crazy Horse to get a Native American meal, as has been the tradition the last two years, then be thrilled to drive the Black Hills. I'm trying to get to the Devil's Tower before it gets too late in the evening. It's not really a hike, just a photo op. I've been to Custer and Rushmore (twice) already, so no need to go back again anytime soon.

The hike around the base of Devil's Tower is actually pretty cool. Devil's Tower is one of those places I didn't think would be that impressive, but is. Yeah I was done with Rushmore after one time really... it's kind of disappointing. Driving the Needles Highway however is awesome.

Yeah, I did it from Rushmore to Deadwood. Early evening. So the sun just hit it right in some parts where it was setting.

Sounds like a fun trip, Sav. The First Lady and I would love to join you again in SEA, but - we just moved back east! Enjoy your trip and we’ll catch you on the next one. Gov

Also, braves are at Camden yards in two weekends - I’ll be in Balt that whole time - beers on me if you can swing that

I'll be in/around Sedona from Sep 11-16. When will you be there?

That's what everyone says.

You can stay on the NY side and have a quick 10-15 minute walk to the Canadian side. The NY side for food is OK, especially if you are a casino guy, but overall the Canadian side is gorgeous. You won't be disappointed.

I've thought about going. You can just walk to the Canadian side?
