I’ve been defending him all year, but I want him off the team. I said a few days ago that he’s one of my least favorite Braves, despite not being bad, and I meant it. I’m tired of him acting like a douche just because he’s never met a breaking ball that he couldn’t hang.

I remember him cussing out Fredi Gonzalez all the way from the mound well into the dugout (once ejected) when Fredi got the umpires to check his arm for sticky stuff back when he was with Milwaukee years ago.

It won’t. Games are won and lost in the 6,7 and 8 too. Matzek should be facing the highest leverage situation right now. Especially if lefties are involved. If he is called for one hitter to get out a curricula name then he should start the next inning. Double switch. Luke, RichRod and Martin should be our righty high leverage guys. Smith should be bottom of order guy. If that comes up in the 9th then so be it.
