The Coronavirus, not the beer

I'm sure the overwhelming majority of these people are going to be just fine. Whats happening is people are showing up to the hospital for other ailments and getting tested for COVID. Completely asymptomatic but now being counted as a 'COVID Hospitalization'.

Seems like that would be happening at relatively the same rate between vaccinated and unvaccinated people, would it not? If it isn’t, wouldn’t that be further evidence that the vaccine is helping people not catch COVID?

Our pediatrician office has something like a dozen doctors. The one we saw yesterday said the vast majority of cases they are seeing are vaccinated.

I’m very much willing to listen on the efficacy of the vaccine in reducing transmission, and think that the mandates become much, much less justifiable if it doesn’t help with that. However, it’s worth pointing out that there’s a difference between contracting COVID and getting very sick from it. If the vaccine is helping with the latter, it’s still worth promoting the heck out of it, even if we need to take a step back on calling it a civic duty or turning the unvaccinated into pariahs.

The vaccine has been reduced to being just a therapeutic and it does seem to keep the worst symptoms away. I just wish we had gotten better vaccines but that's probably the best we could do on such short notice.

Without offering any opinion on the enacted policies, that’s the Dean of the College. Her prior department is irrelevant, because she’s the ****ing Dean. There’s also nothing indicating she is the one making these recommendations. Does Michael Tracey just not know how hierarchies work?

It’s a stupid tweet designed to suggest that they’re intentionally enlisting random “woke” departments to handle their COVID response plan. It’s no different than saying that the Government’s response to COVID was being run by a game show host.

I read it as someone who is useless enough to run a gender studies department is stupid enough to force young healthy teenagers from congregating together.

They are tyrants
