Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

I love Olson the player don't get me wrong. I think the deal will work out very well for the Braves.

Freeman has done it for longer and is still a much safer bet to be great the next few years.

I think we are going to really miss one of those prospects so the calculus goes Freeman + good major leaguer for Olson.

I don't like that trade.

The math is actually Freeman plus good player - maybe two! For Younger Olson, Jensen and Rosario..... I’ll take that all day .

People keep saying the Dodgers just got better. I know Freeman is a good player but so is Corey Seager. That dude came up big a lot during the playoffs. I think those 2 are basically a wash.

Plus they lost Scherzer as well as Kelly, Knebel and Jansen from their pen.

I think they are a weaker team this year to be honest. Watching Freddie’s press conference you could just see the uneasiness in him especially when asked about the Braves. Everybody knows he wanted to come back to Atlanta and they botched it all. He said they only checked in with me twice. We didn’t have to court FF the Dodgers did and we had an offer out since after the AS break. It’s gonna be a rivalry this year for sure.

I think Chelsea wanted a change of scenery but yeah his guy botched this.

Had several people in Atl day he’s got a side piece with him during the week getting DOWN

Boot lickers are going to hype the dodgers no matter what. They got a discount deal in freeman because they were able to be patient and wait for his market to collapse. Simple as that.

Per a former Braves teammate that I am familiar with who is close with him, Freddie was a wild man before he got hitched. Don’t know about now though.

I’m interested to see how Freeman’s power stats hold up moving from 81 games a year at hitter friendly Truist park to 81 games at pitcher friendly Dodger Stadium. Plus add in 14 games between SD and SF. I definitely think we could see a noticeable decline in his power this year. It wasn’t all that long ago that Freddie was thought of as more of a line drive hitter not a home run guy. I could see LA being a pressurized place for Freddie if. he can’t match his stats from the last two years.

I think we are going to wish Lango was on this roster.

Unless he's Realmuto 2.0, I don't think we'll regret it much. Zunino seems more likely as a comp, and while he's had 2-3 nice seasons, he really hasn't been anything special overall.

Has a pair of opt-outs, Miami lowkey making some good moves. Wish we kept Soler though.

I admit I don’t get why we didn’t get sicker for 13. Also admit I thought about trading for him like Duvall last year.

The Braves must really be concerned about his defense.

Really wish we could swap him with ozuna. But nobody wants ozuna
