CBB Thread

Heyward, have any of ur teams lost and you not made excuses/cry about refs?

Refs werent the main reason but once JMM went out, the entire game changed.

Doubt UNC would of won.

The 4th foul was one of the few legit ones.

I doubt it would of mattered though.

Illinois wins at Iowa - an at large bid for the Illini isn't out of the question yet. Gonna need a run in the B1G Tourney, at least to the semifinals, to get back on the bubble

This has been such a crazy B1G conference season. Illinois doesn't have any impressive non conference wins though to bolster their resume. Missouri???

7-11 in conference play isn't very good although this was a very tough league. Winning 4/5 to end the regular season is important though. Looks like you are going to be the 8th seed for the BTT. I believe a Thursday match up against Indiana is what you are going to have. Then a potential game against Michigan in round 2. Tough sailing for your boys, but I've always respected you guys. Hope you can get it done!

Neutral win vs Missouri and road win at UNLV are the best wins for Illinois out of conference. Not too impressive, but the other bubble teams don't look all that impressive either. The committee doesn't look at conference record, they look at overall record and how you've done recently. Beating Indiana and then Michigan would certainly propel Illinois ahead of similar Big Ten teams like Nebraska and Minnesota. I'll be happy with any postseason for Illinois, though.

I will make a March madness bracket for the board. Just trying to gauge interest from you guys.

31-10 free throws attempted advantage against MSU.

Turnovers are why they lost the game, but officiating in this league is terrible. Is it this bad across other conferences?

I made a bracket challenge on espn for those who want to join. Send me your email address and I will invite.

Questionable coaching at the end of the game by Groce - should have beaten Michigan and that might have just been enough to get them in the tourney

Anyone doubting Louisville knows nothing about anything.

Louisville will go as far as Russ takes them, they aren't nearly as good as last year but Russ has been in some sort of zone lately. Montrez is also a freaking beast.....Wouldn't be shocked if they get knocked off in the 2nd round or made the final 4.
