GDT: Braves vs. Phillies 23 May 22 07:20 pm. * LINEUP SHIFT*

Still time to improve, but Olson is on a 2.7 fWAR pace. This is not what we traded for. Interestingly enough, that's what Olson has been 3 of his 5 years; I threw out his rookie season. If Olson is a 3 war player, we made a huge mistake

fF is on pace for 7.9 fWAR.

Back end of the rotation and OF continues to be the Braves biggest issue. Olson is another guy that seems to be really affected by the dead ball. His HR/FB rate has crashed this year and is half of what it normally is. Double his homeruns and his numbers would look a lot different. MLB once again ****ing the Braves over.

Rizzo on pace for 3.6 fWAR. Of the 3 options, we seem to have chose the worst, and traded 3 nice pieces in the process.

Any report on Rosario and soroka?

Hate to say it - especially at the quarter pole - but they're getting to the point that they need to do something a little drastic if they want a chance to compete for the division title again. Doing so certainly isn't necessary, but after last night they're a full 9 games back in the division. On top of that they're behind the Padres, Cardinals, Giants, Diamondbacks, Rockies, and tied with the Marlins in the Wild Card race.

Nothing a hot streak wouldn't fix pretty quickly, but this team seems completely lifeless with no sense of urgency. This group still needs a little time to establish an identity, but those bemoaning the loss of Freeman's clubhouse presence and intangibles are onto something thus far - these guys are just going through the motions, and as things stand right now they're not good enough to beat the other team AND their Manager. That's not to say things aren't going to improve - these guys are better than this - but it's brutally hard to watch them play right now. I switched channels the minute Snitker ran Anderson back out for the 7th on Sunday and the minute Davidson issued his third walk last night. I felt like I knew exactly what was going to happen - and I wasn't wrong. Other than Acuna and Contreras ABs there's nothing to see, and that's not worth 3+ hours of my day.

The braves haven't won 3 games in a row yet this season. Wow

They could really use a 8-2/14-4 type stretch right now.

Duvall...
.279 xwoba
.277 babip (career .267)
-0.1 fWAR

Every day AA runs him back out there is another wasted day. I'm usually more critical of snit than AA, but AA put together a trash OF, and that's the biggest issue on the team.

ETA... zips does still project him at 2.4

in fairness, I don’t think anyone in MLB predicted Duvall to regress this much to one of the worst players in all of baseball.

Langeliers has a 913 OPS in AAA. His home ballpark has a park factor the same as Coors Field. His road OPS is .660.

So every player involved in the trade sucked

I've got to lay off Olson haha

ETA... usually the crazier my rants on players get, they get hot and make me look foolish. I really want to look foolish on Olson

4 games back at the break is my goal

when Olson goes on a tear and Ronald carries the team again, Snit will look like a genius.

the only thing I will give snit credit for this year is his willingness to send runners. Everything else he manages so conservatively.

Cusick has an ERA of 7.61 in AA and Estes's is 4.93 at A+. Nobody we traded is really killing it yet.

Basically the whole offense outside of a couple of guys have struggled and all at the same time. They’ll get hot and go on a tear just sucks waiting on it. Luckily we have Harris coming at some point so we’ll probably only need 1 good outfielder. With the farm thin what OF is out there that we could eat the contract on?
