Ah yes, one could never, ever determine the truth of the case if they see the word ‘their’ in front of the word penis. What a very good and important point. When you have a policy to use someone’s preferred pronouns, you simply use the ****ing policy. The BBC is still reporting on the rape and telling the victim’s story. Nobody read that story and failed to understand the case because they used a different ****ing pronoun.
What an absolutely ****ing pointless outrage.
pointless outrage.
I don't think it's pointless outrage to complain about a supposed news source altering quotes to make them fit the transfascist policy they've decided on. This wasn't censored to where the words were unreadable, they changed the rape victim's description of her attacker.
This is exactly the slippery slope stuff a lot of people like to laugh off when we point out the danger of knowingly using false terms so we can all play along with the delusional fantasies of people who need mental health intervention.
The person who held this woman down and raped her with a penis was not a she or a they or a them or whatever ever other bull**** term would make their sorry rapist ass feel empowered, it was a he. That's the victim's truth or lived experience.
