He's had a solid spring. You can tell he is working on his swing. His power will return with his confidence.

If he produces people will like him, if he doesn't people won't. It's as simple as that. Nobody wants him to fail.

Bat, to be hidden in LF.

LF is going to be an interesting position in a couple years if Justin Upton departs upon his contract running out. There is a big group of fringy/high uncertainty type corner infielder/corner outfielder prospects in our system. None individually have great odds of being the player to take over. But collectively there is a decent chance that a candidate will emerge from the group.

Schlosser, Ian Thomas make the team, Ryan Buchter takes Gearrin's spot. Everything else is has expected.

So 40-man spots have to be made for Schlosser and Thomas

Okay, according to a news release, Beachy and Jonny Venters transferred to the 60-day DL to add Schlosser and Thomas to the 40-man. Schlosser will wear #50, Thomas #58 and Buchter #59.

Interesting that it is Beachy and Venters not Beachy and Gearrin going to the 60-day DL. I guess it tells us something about the timeframe for Venters' return.

Gearrin is only on the 15-day DL right now. If he has surgery, they could always put on the 60-day DL when they need to open up another spot.
