Are you taking into account the extra rest we got Minter / Jansen by not using them Sunday vs. Houston? They had to pitch one out of the next 4 days including tomorrow, so would have been concerning on the usage.

I’m taking into account using literally anyone other than Dylan Lee during a very tight important game when he’s struggled mightily recently

They probably use Diaz for 2 if we use one of our upper tier arms. But we do have a ton of puzzling losses that could make us be in 1st though. The extra inning loss to the Cards and Dodgers, the Astros game, among some others. But we also won alot of close games that were 50-50, so ehhh. The Phillies loss where Minter blew it and McHugh at home was rough as well but **** happens.

**** does happen. I look back at the Jansen blown save against the Brewers. That was a horse**** game.

Diaz gets used for 2, he’s taken out of the equation for 1-2 days. Probably the Phillies get another game that series. But yeah.

I’m definitely not a Snit supporter but I also realize after having seen what Boone has been doing and what LaRussa did it could be worse.
 
No one remembers who is in 1st on August 24. The Mets thought they buried the Braves in NY. Atlanta being very much alive appears to be unnerving the Mets.
 
The Braves are playing their best baseball of the season and are peaking at the right time. The Mets I feel like peaked early and will fizzle down the stretch. We have a huge lead in the lead WC spot but winning the division is huge.
