First Former President to Have Home Raided by FBI

What are you using to justify the characterization of “cavalier”?
My understanding is all sorts of junk were comingled with top secret documents. Clippings from newspapers, magazines. Photos. No junk food wrappers or stale french fries, however. I'm disappointed. I've been savoring the mental image of very poorly chosen one thumbing through the material while enjoying a big mac.

Your understanding from who?

What did Trump as president do on January 19th, 2021?

He probably jerked off on the bed left behind for his successor. Consistent with his behavior pretty much whenever he didn't get what he wanted.

Cool. Then you understand why you’ve got nothing and officially took the first shot in what will be a war. Don’t come crying when your side starts taking massive losses powered by the federal government.

as i recall this would be Restoration Month--Take 22 in the thethe alternative history saga

According to a letter from the National Archives to the FBI, the boxes retrieved earlier this year contained

“newspapers, magazines, printed news articles, photos, miscellaneous printouts, notes, presidential correspondence, personal and postpresidential records, and ‘a lot of classified records.’ Of most significant concern was that highly classified records were unfoldered, intermixed with other records, and otherwise unproperly (sic) identified.”

I believe cavalier is the correct term to describe this comingling of junk with classified material.

The words of Rex Tillerson ring as true as ever. Once a ****ing moron always a ****ing moron.

I think this padlock business is an urban legend. The DoJ asked that the room some of the materials were in be better secured.

But yes the FBI and DoJ can be fairly criticized for asking politely too many times and for too long. These materials should have been secured and restored to their rightful owner much sooner. They seemed to have assumed asking politely might work. Wrong assumption as it turned out.

Actually they aren't an urban legend. The fact they were put there pretty much destroys the whole narrative. Yeah, I'm sure they gave him too much slack. lol.

They asked nicely for months that he return the material. It didn't belong to him. Seems pretty straightforward to me he should have returned it a long time ago. And now y'all crying because the National Archives and DoJ thought it was a good idea to enforce the laws regarding ownership and possession of these records. After months of asking nicely.

Law and order for thee but not for me.

They could have hauled it all back in June but didn't. Once again you're falling for a ruse.

Better get some ice for that groin. Gonna be sore.

You can't stand it when I can shred their story with reason, huh? I know you're having a bad week since the guy you voted for looks to be a child molester so I'll go easy on you.

Cool, can we get you into contact with his attorneys. I bet the whole case will be dismissed with this new information you have!

Why did the FBI do such heavy redactions? Why won't the FBI let a special master look over the documents. Something is off.

Merrick Garland had every right and duty to actually raid Mar a Lago over a year ago. The Orange One should be in jail already. I don't understand why the "Obstruction" is such a big deal. Why aren't the clear rules about handling govt documents enough?
