There wasn't any proof beyond conjecture. However, let's be clear here. If this was Trump and an assailant reported to be in their underwear I'm willing to bet you would have been embracing some conspiracy theories yourself.

Yeah, my hair would be a mess too. Having cocktail hour after someone broke into your house while they are still there is also really strange.

It is odd that he is holding on to a drink with one hand. He could have defended himself better if he had dropped the drink. Or better yet smashed his attacker with the glass.

The video begins with footage from a Capitol Police camera trained on the Pelosi home in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood; it shows Mr. DePape—wearing shorts and a jacket—walking up to a rear entrance at 3:04 a.m., taking out a claw hammer from a bag and putting on gloves.
After looking around several times, he initially pushed the head of the hammer against the glass in a set of french doors. When it wouldn’t open, he swung with full force 16 times until the glass shattered and then pushed his way through, shoulder first.

Do some people who have already lost their minds have an affinity for maga lies.
Or is falling for maga lies part of a process that leads to derangement.
