That's not true. So racial intent and bias absolutely has a scope around legality and constructs.

For example, you do not need to drive to live. You do not need to fly to live. You do not need to buy cigs, liquor, weed, etc. You can absolutely live your entire life without a drivers license or photo ID. Especially if you're older, self employed etc. There's tons of ways you can live your life without a government issued photo ID.

But no one is getting at the question still. Which is not is something racist, but why is something racist?

He was attempting to get a gotcha, and he failed. You're acting like he was playing 4D chess but that **** was put to bed right away. Because of hwo poor voter ID laws are enforced and so on so forth.

Sturg was attempting a gotcha but failed. I didn't answer his question because it wasn't a sincere question. What you're essentially arguing is stop and frisk isn't racist, because even if the results are clearly showing racial bias because the intent isn't racist it cannot be.

Do you need to be able to vote without an ID in order to live?

Does requiring a photo ID to participate in something discriminate against black people, or does it not? A simpler question probably does not exist

He's not even playing 4D chess. He's just asking you your opinion on whether or not voter ID for everyone is racist. You can't answer it because saying No means that you're a hypocrite and saying Yes means that you are wrong. You know this and it's why you've avoided the question for pages.

No he wasn't asking if Voter ID was racist, he was asking if requiring an ID for something was racist. Which would be akin to saying "Do you think speaking is racist?" and when someone says no being like "Well then how can you say people say racist things"

Voter ID laws without ensuring that every citizen has easy access to acquiring a photo ID at all times, is racist. Way more than enough studies have been done and shown voter ID laws lead to less votes from black people compared to other races. The intent isn't necessarily racist, but the results are shown to be over and over again. In fact in minimal research I haven't found a study yet that didn't show white people gaining a voting advantage ina Voter ID law being passed. Now I threw caveats in there. Because the states should be making it very easy for everyone in the state to get an eligible photo ID easily. Which never happens. I mean I know if I want a photo ID I have to travel to my DMV which is 12 Miles away about 20 minute drive. And according to Google, no public transportation method to get there. SOmeone who is very poor and doesn't have means to get there woudl struggle very hard to get a photo ID unless you know someone who can drive you.

Again, no one is asking the right questions. It's not shocking. But it's OK. Lack of critical thinking is missing from teh Trump voters, whodathunkit
