2024 Field

Is that what I prefer? You've been promising receipts for a while but have yet to produce any... A reminder that I have been supporting the anti war candidates since before you were cheering on Obama... keep up little boy

When you take one portion of a sentence and clip it sure I can't find that. When you continue the sentence as one thought then that is an exact depiction of your argument.

actually what I said was Putin is going to do whatever he thinks is best for Russia... and he has a right to do that.

Again - See above. Similar debate tactic to asking me why I haven't answered a question within 2 minutes of you posting it because I posted another individual comment without quoting anything.

I ask you for a 20th time to show me the receipts where I "demand Putin gives back all the land"... how many times do you plan to ascribe words to me that I never said without producing any recipes? I understand this is the trumping way but expect better of you

Do you support the position that Putin should not have taken Crimea? Of course you have already responded with "Yes" to this. So now put yourself in a negotiation room - You are then going to give Putin Crimea to stop the war? All the signals is that you will tolerate someone making a move that you feel is unjust because you are just going to get what you want anyway. This is the only way to stop the war and you see what moral dilemma you have gotten into because you were too much of a child to understand the answer to the original question is much more complicated.

considering I never demanded Putin give up any land... I dunno what your talking about. But my position continues to be we would be less close to war if the Crimea annex never happened. How you disagree with this is something I cannot begin to fathom

Your position is misguided because regardless of the territory Putin had in Crimea the third Obama term foreign policy was always going to be to instigate Russia the point of war or make them bankrupt economically. The fact that you are now flipping on this basic concept is just another example of how you sold out because of yoru insane anger towards Trump. But you do you bud.

You keep posting things that perfectly articulate why both candidates suck on these issues.

Trump donated money to George W Bush and Hilary Clinton - war mongers!

I guess you think he suddenly changed in your eyes... and that's a change no other person is capable of.

At least 10 years on this forum but probably over 20 in his life thrown out the window because of TDS.

I can't think of a more perfect sentence to highlight someone being in a cult... that I have "thrown away" years of my life because I prefer a candidate other than Donald Trump to be President in 2025.

Absolutely lost it

Perhaps... but then I look at my alternative that you are shoving down my throat and I see a guy who hired John Bolton, increased military spending by 25%, and promised American intervention if he were President after the invasion

So I guess my options kind of suck, don't they?

No new wars

Destroyed ISIS - You seem to have completely blanked out of your mind that ISIS was a real global threat that was causing global disruptions. Ho Hum Trump made it look easy.

Peace deals in the Middle East

You had such a core belief of how the MIC influenced the world. Are you pretending that you didn't. This is a big part of Ron Pauls message and thats why it was so beautiful because at the heart of it that is whats causing a lot of the issues we see today here in this country. Again - something that you understood so fundamentally and now all of a sudden pretending its not a deal breaker.

I love Trump for 3 reasons:

1 - Immigration - completely changed the narrative. We were headed for absolute amnesty for tens of millions.
2 - Foreign Policy - brought peace to the world (Enough said)
3 - China - Can not do business with the CCP. We are funding a power that everyone knows we will be at war with at some point in the next fifty years.

I think what’s missing in this back and forth is that it’s possible to like a candidate while still having concerns.

As of March 23, 2023, I have a preference for DeSantis whilst acknowledging he’s leaves me wanting in some areas. If a better candidate comes around, I’ll gladly jump ship and support that candidate (even if that person has a 0% of winning - I know that’s evil behavior for some).

I have issues with Trump MAGA because there is literally nothing he could do that would convince them to consider other options. He could have a stroke tomorrow and be a walking tomato and not lose a single ounce of support. This leads to him getting credit for things he doesn’t deserve and absolved of blame when it’s deserved.

I have no faith that a Republican will beat Biden in 2024. I don’t think Trump is capable because he and his followers are actively alienating allies. If Trump loses the nomination, he will torpedo the winner.

What’s sad is I think Trump populism does have an appealing message for ordinary Americans.

No... what I'm doing is highlighting the fact that you re saying things that I said but never actually said. it's quite frustrating to have to argue against your own opinions as well as the ones your making about me

Again - See above. Similar debate tactic to asking me why I haven't answered a question within 2 minutes of you posting it because I posted another individual comment without quoting anything.

No. Again, I'm correcting the record about what I actually said vs what you pretended I said

Do you support the position that Putin should not have taken Crimea? Of course you have already responded with "Yes" to this.

My position was that Putin should do whatever he thinks is best for Russia... but as someone who is anti-war and do not like wars being escalated, I believe fundamentally it is wrong for a country to aggressively invade another

So now put yourself in a negotiation room - You are then going to give Putin Crimea to stop the war? All the signals is that you will tolerate someone making a move that you feel is unjust because you are just going to get what you want anyway. You are ascribing Bush/Obama's pre Crimea foreign policy to me.

I'm not in the negotiating room because I'm not involved with this conflict

Your position is misguided because regardless of the territory Putin had in Crimea the third Obama term foreign policy was always going to be to instigate Russia the point of war or make them bankrupt economically. My position is I do not care about Russia and Ukraine, and I would let them deal with themselves. My position is not Obama's, so applying his foreign policy to me is fundamentally dishonest framing of my position.

I disagree with the sanctions. I do not wish to bankrupt the Russians. I wish to make peaceful alliances with the Russians

The last sentence is in reality all that matters. Thats why its never going to go away. You all still don't understand. Its not about Trump. He is just the first one. What are you going to say when we are all behind JD Vance? We are cultists?

Ron Paul's message is high school thinking according to you.

of course the MIC has warped the world and the American government. Ike warned us about it and every president has fallen victim to it since.

Trump was supposed to be the anti establishment guy who drained the swamp. And his rhetoric was great but his actions left a lot to be desired. I do not know why that is so controversial to you. As a reminder, I voted for the guy in 2020... The first republicans I ever voted for since I turned 18. That does not mean he was perfect. He failed mercilessly on a lot of major issues. But he moved the needly in the positive direction. He woke a lot of people up. He made powerful allies like RDS.

Trump was a crucial element in taking the country back. But now he is actively killing his own movement. He is attacking his own allies because they are successful. It's pitiful. A good leader does not do that. A good leader empowers his team to be great. A good leader wants their proteges to be be better than them.

trump is a jealous, volatile, child... and will gladly align himself to the establishment if it supports his ego. We have pages of evidence documenting this. This is not a theory... he proved it over and over and over again.

RDS may similarly disappoint me... but I'm willing to take the chance as things stand right now

But it is all about Trump. You are proving this right now. You have stated over and over that RDS should have stayed away... and then would be an amazing President in 2028.

That's a tell that it's not about RDS, but it's about Trump

it's crazy... shouldn't we be trying to get the best candidate? none of them - literally none of them are perfect. they all have major flaws and quesation marks... and they should all have to answer those questions.

I said he was going to be a war type president and I've mentioned that as a concern repeatedly as I shared that Amash tweet probably the day he said it.

but you have said DeSantis would have been great starting in 2028, did you not? (unlike you, I can provide receipts)

Meanwhile, in the exact same tweet you posted from Amash - he levies the exact same criticism to Trump

Is he right about one but wrong about the other?

It was vague where Desantis stood on the issue now - Even Amash said the same thing. The flop on Ukraine was hysterical. You could have closed your eyes and heard those same words come out of any of the politicians from the past fifty years. Remember when Trump talked about all the bad **** the US has done? People were SHOCKED when a US president said that. RDS is a good Gov and I've said that from the beginning. I don't want him in control of the military.

Amash said Trump 'Aggressively faked it'. Whatever that means - Amash is a smart guy but he wasn't incentivized (By Trump) to really give him any positive assessments.

I can tell you factually that you have stated your opinion that RDS would be great starting in 2028 - after that tweet from Amash

And amazingly - once again - Amash's opinion doesn't count for Trump. He's right about RDS, of course! But we can ignore him on Trump.

ho hum. rinse repeat

So did you miss the part where I said it was vague where Desantis still stood? Once you answer that the rest of your post is nonsense and no need to address.

You'd have such a better leg to stand on if your preferred candidate didn't massively (and I mean massively) increase our military spending.

It's hard to take your cries about taking down the MIC seriously while you are pimping a candidate who gave them more resources than any president in US history.

And I know I know I know you're gonna give me the ISIS excuse.

But I got news for you... we didn't need more money to defeat ISIS than we needed to launch wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Yemen,

But he sure as hell gave them that much and a hell of a lot more

Tell me thethe. Do you approve of the people Trump appoints to key positions? He had 2 AGs. You approve of the job they did? Mark Esper as defense secretary? Appointing mitch McConnels wife Elaine Chao as transportation secretary as a political favor to Mitch? Hired warmongering John Bolton?

And you want to talk about loyalty with DeSantis. Trump fired General Flynn like a dog for what you claim was false charges. Where was Trumps loyalty there?

Trumps results are already known. Why do I care about his hires when his actual enacted policy was amazing?

Trump never wanted to fire Flynn and it’s a shame he did because of a completely bull**** fake hoax. Trump had amazing results in the face of unprecedented attack and anyone just a little saner than you realizes that. That’s also another part of the picture people conveniently leave out.
