I'm nervous about this next series. I'm nervous we are going to give them games. We need to walk out that btch with a split at worst.
 
What a great road trip so far …..

Now we have a date with the first place Dodgers with a skinny four game lead for HFA ….

But first :
How about Vines ? !! Wow! Got through six with 5ks. I know Rockies are AAAA, but just so impressive. Congratulations young man.

Arcia and Pilar and …. And, did I mention Ozuna?… just crushing!

Just Braves doing Braves stuff.
 
Also- Nerf - seemed like a big crowd in there on TV- do the rocks usually draw that well? Most bottom feeders play in essentially empty stadiums this time of year …..
 
Would love to see Vines be a surprise answer... I thought he looked damn good for pitching in Colorado even if it was vs a little league squad. That change looks legit.

They generally do. The stadium is in the middle of the city and in easy reach to everything else going on down there, so a lot of people show just for the heck of it. Alot of late-arrivers, which is kind of annoying. There are always a TON of Braves fans there when they come to town and in a situation like this - late in the year when the Rockies are done - it kind of felt like a 50/50 draw. I always sit on the third base side and that is where most of the Braves fans sit.
 
If we needed two more spot starts from Vines to buy time for Soroka/Wright, his next two starts would be home games against the Cardinals and Pirates. I wouldn’t hate it.
 
Hate to keep beating a dead Murphy but tonight / next four days will be telling. This is objectively a critical series with major implications for home field. Murphy had a day off yesterday

There is zero excuse for Murphy not to be in there 3 of 4. Literally zero. TD has been ass the last two months, and it’s a crucial series. If it’s 2 of 4 this series I will be re-escalating my concerns that TD will be starting major playoff games over Murphy.

Now I'm going to just sound like I'm complaining but I just realized as missed end of game. Did we really go with iglesias for back to back nights against one of the worst teams in baseball, with a 4 run lead, no days off and a 4 game series coming up that could determine home field advantage? Those are the types of basic things that are just unacceptable to me, regardless of what our division lead is. Literally just moronic. For people that say we aren't allowed to complain about our manager because we are the best team in baseball, this to me was actually an offensive move - even if iglesias hadn't pitched the night before, I'd say its stupid. But to go back to back days in that scenario is actually just comical.
