January 6th insurrection thread...

Is there anything in the Constitution that says the Supreme Court Justice must be confirmed on a specific day?

I don't know why that really matters when there was a clear conspiracy to stop government business and install a constitutionally approved justice

I get you don't have a leg to stand on. It's OK. We have a two tiered justice system. One for those who support the regime and one for those who oppose it

The ONLY markable difference is the letter by their names in those two specific examples

None other than trump-appointed judge Timothy Kelly has pointed out the difference between garden variety protests (where protestors do sometimes break the law and get arrested) and the circumstances surrounding January 6 (which involved an attempt to overthrow our constitutional system for counting electoral votes and effecting a transfer of power)...tis a distinction worth keeping in mind at sentencing time (as judge Kelly and his colleagues have rightly done)

eh

seems to me a perfectly good distinction to make

exercising the free speech rights enshrined in the constitution vs trying to overthrow said constitution

Guys like Tarrio and Rhodes were all in for a revolution. They communicated this as clearly as possible before January 6, during January 6 and after January 6.

They also cried like little girls when it came time to be sentenced. Gary Cooper stirs uneasily in his grave.

Our Constitution was in zero danger so Kelly is full of it. There was no threat to democracy and the VP procedure was delayed a bit but that was it. If these people wanted revolution then and there we would have had guns blazing instead of a bunch of idiots walking around the capital. Let me remind you this whole protest was peaceful until the cops started launching flash grenades into the crowd.

why the heck didn't they bring their guns?

Tough guy talk from a bunch of losers who want to be more important in life than what they are. Even Rhodes admitted when he got drunk he would talk stupid ****.

I dont know how much **** is in judge Kelly. I do know he is a conservative Republican judge who has sat through a number of trials involving January 6 defendants and seen all the evidence presented by both the prosecution and defense.

I would add being a bumbling incompetent insurrectionist does not change the fact that folks like Tarrio and Rhodes were eager for their revolution...all in the name of some narcissistic clown...a sad and pathetic cause animating a sad and pathetic group of men

Common sense/reason/logic, etc. tells me that it's hard to have a revolution without weapons. This kind of response from a judge is completely irresponsible.

There was no insurrection but you're an American and are free to believe that. Judges and the MSM who try to push this narrative should be ignored because the facts say it didn't happen.

Rhodes and Tarrio were eager for it. They advertised their goals before January 6, during January 6 and after January 6. They were there for the revolution. Fortunately they were a bunch of half-assed bumbling clowns.

but why did they leave their guns at home?

No, Rhodes and the Oath Keepers went there for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act and they wanted to help. Trump didn't do it so they went home. Even a year after the J6 event when they were arrested they did nothing. The group attacked nothing.

Tarrio wasn't even there. What was his master plan? The Proud boys went home and just like that no uprising occurred.
