Lmao - does snit really think TD should be hitting 5th? I’m telling you, unless front office steps in, TD is absolutely our starting catcher in snits mind

Hits 5th, pinch hits last night with game on line. This remains the most bizarre management I’ve arguably ever seen
 
Moving Albies and Harris due to a LHP on the mound shows at least some brain function in the fossilized remains the Braves pay to manage the team. So there’s that!

I love Travis but the entire Murphy - Travis usage has been odd. I guess we’ll see what happens in the playoffs.

The only logical conclusion can be that they have decided on a 50/50 split to keep Murphy fresh in these low leverage games. I can’t really argue about their catcher management based on the results the last several years.

Agreed. I can’t really think of another reason that makes sense. In the end, we wouldn’t be talking about it if Travis was hitting.
 
The part killing me is the system we had was working exceptionally well. Murphy was the best catcher in baseball and TD was seemingly like an 800-850 area player. Then something changed and snit decided they were equals. The 35 year old catcher playing lots of games not surprisingly has plummeted, and correlation or not, the young player that was raking, has semi gone cold as his reps have plummeted. And the worse TD plays, the more he plays. It’s just an entirely backwards formula that is defying all logic

101 and 108 are not junk. I think the team is wore down but might be hard to rest them at this point since they will also have a week after the season ends. I would just keep riding them till the season ends and let that break be a rest period.
