Official 2024 Off-Season Thread!

Nothing...they are just freeing extra cash at this point...They are done making moves to the pitching and position players...I dunno why people keep thinking we are in on Cease...AA is done making major moves.

I'd be surprised if we're done. Not saying we're gonna sign Snell or Yama, but i think AA has one more trick in his bag.

Sure thing man… something we can all conclude at the beginning of December

Apparently the Braves are paying “the bulk” of Stassi’s contract. This seems like an odd and expensive way to get Fletcher on the bench. Makes me long for the simpler days of Nicky López.

They must really love Kelenic bc they’ve taken on alot of money and done alot of trading just to get him.

Max Stassi, thank you for your contributions to the Atlanta Braves organization during your time with the team.

While I’m sure he knew he’d be moved, I bet he’s pretty bummed. Went from the Angels to a playoff team, and then immediately dumped on the white Sox lol

And Ohtani is one hell of a player, but if he ends up not being able to pitch again the Dodgers just paid $700M for Matt Olson

While the Dodgers getting Ohtani was pretty much a forgone conclusion for a couple years now, that $700M guarantee is shocking. The Dodgers didn’t protect themselves b any way against him never being an effective pitcher again. Crazy money.

I do wonder who they were even bidding against. Were there really other teams willing to go even close to that number??? I have doubts.

People are ragging on the Dodgers, but I seriously doubt they would have gone that high without having at least a pretty good feeling that he'll be able to pitch again.
