Dodgers have been doing this repeatedly at this point:
Betts: $115M in salary is deferred ($8M/year of 2021-25 salaries, $10M/year of 2026-27 salaries, $11M/year of 2028-32 salaries); deferred money to be paid each July 1, 2033-44: $8M/year in 2033-37, $10M/year in 2038-39, $11M/year in...
Arcia had bizarre LHP/RHP splits this year, with an OPS >1.000 against LHP and <.675 v. RHP. I have much more faith that he repeats the RHP number than the LHP number.

Expand to 32 teams. Four division winners and four wildcards per league. Each division winner places a wild card. Division winners get a 1-0 advantage. Winning your division matters. Loser mid teams still get a "shot," which MLB seems obsessed with giving them for some...
Elder through the order once: 2 1/3 inning, 1 run
AJSS through the order once: 2 2/3 inning, 1 run
Hindsight is 20/20, but used strategically, these guys could have kept it tight. They both only got actually lit up on the second pass through.
What's actually weird about this, is that after the Marsh single (one batter after Castellanos) they cut away to the bullpen and AJSS and Yates were both getting loose. That's why it was double baffling when the Gulf of Tonkin came in.
