We shouldn't play on Sundays (3-10), or Wednesdays. (3-9)
or day games (11-17)
We shouldnt play against the NL West (8-20)
or on national television (9-20)
We shouldnt play in 1-run games (11-20),
or 2-run games (3-8)
If we can avoid all of that moving forward...
It's helped that most of the teams at the top of the standings have come back to earth. The Padres were not in a playoff spot as of yesterday, and that 6th spot is now at about an 88 win pace instead of 92 like it was 2 weeks ago.

I hate how MLB can manipulate the game by changing the balls. Curious that in most of these years there is a definite V curve going on. My tinfoil hat goes on when I see stuff like this.
That HR stat is a weird one. To put it in perspective:
With 2 or 3 men on base:
2024 30 HR in 813 PA, or 1 every 27.1 PA
vs 213 HR in 6075 PA total, or 1 every 28.5 PA
2025 4 HR in 299 PA, or 1 every 74.8 PA
vs 62 HR in 2201 PA total, or 1 every 35.5 PA
