Braves Dominate SL Top Prospects list

I mean, he was and probably is. If the velo issues go beyond him pitching ~60 more innings this year than last year at age 19 against high level competition, then yeah, his ceiling changes. But if it's just fatigue and adjustment, he's one of the best LHP prospects in the game. There's a reason...

    FG Mid-Season Top 100

In particular I don't like that this has Jimenez over Acuna. Jimenez has the (slightly) better power, hit tools are pretty comparable, but Acuna blows him out of the water both defensively and on the basepaths. All that while being over a year younger at a higher level.

    Stanton Clears Waivers

No chance to get Moustakas with Stanton on the payroll. Being optimistic and saying we'd find a buyer for Markakis, discounting him from our payroll, we'd still have Kemp on the bench getting paid $21.5 million. Moose will get somewhere between $15-20 million per year probably. So on the...

I just don't get that. He's 6'1", 190, not exactly small. We've all seen his curveball, it's a thing of beauty, and his changeup generates swing-and-miss. He sits low to mid 90s. Where should we have any concern?

Yeah. I imagine we can see upticks for Acuna, Albies, Gohara. Others will likely stay around the same. Newcomb will drop off. For the Sox, I can see Cease and Lopez getting slight upticks, but probably no huge moves, with Moncada dropping off.

    Official 2017 Trade Deadilne Thread

I'd say Cordell would be a pretty good get. My primary target would be Brett Phillips, but with him getting called up and Brinson's struggles in the bigs so far not sure he'd be immediately available. Could maybe go for something like Cordell + Cody Ponce?

I disagree. At some point you need to pick your cornerstones and keep them, can't just keep kicking the can down the road. We might not be a playoff team this year, but next year with Albies/Acuna/various pitching prospects getting close to Atlanta our window will start to open.
